Do you view the looney tunes as fictional actors in a similar manner to the muppets, yes or no?
I dunno...let me think.
This kind of stuff is really lame. These dudes hate each other and that's that.
Yes in the metaphorical sense no in the meta senseMost classic characters up until maybe the late 60s were not designed with universes or reoccurring characters, they were funny characters that could be placed into funny scenarios without explanation. This is the environment they work best in, try to give them a world and act like "Bugs Bunny would totally hang out with Ralph Wolf at a pizzaria and shit" and it doesn't workThey're also not Mickey Mouse in the sense you can have all of them together and hang out, the original directors never did that and usually only paired up two or three different characters, never all of themCome to think of it, Disney did that too
The answer to any Looney Tunes question should be 'no, and yes'
I also watched that new OneyPlays video about the Tiny Toons game, OP.
>>152806336yeahh that makes senseI like how Sylvester is chatty when he's the star of a cartoon, but mute when he's meant to be a pet cat. The fucker knew what kinda roles called for his people.
>>152806597Yeah, I’m not gonna lie, that’s kind of what made me want to make this thread because for years now, I’ve always seen them as actors, like the some of the original shorts did it that way, the more modern stuff sometimes does it that way, it never crossed my mind that some people might not like that.>>152806336Personally, I view their non acting dynamics as the same as their acting dynamics. It’s usually shown they act the same way on and off set in the shorts.
>>152806151Yes but in the sense their personalities are they act exactly the same as they do as in the shorts they act in, so it is acting a scene to be filmed but not acting out a different persona
>>152807154Exactly, one of the original shorts even has elmer try to gun down bugs until he hears their antics get some laughs.
>>152806917>Tweety's predator>Speedy's "gringo" foe>Junior's bumbling father>Porky's neurotic pet>various misc/solo rolesHe's easily the most versatile of the main cast, even though most modern LT media almost exclusively relegates him to the first role, which is a shame
All I know is Pepe got fucked over
>>152806151Back when I was a little kid maybe
>>152808228At least Speedy is still alive and well.
