The backstory of it goes like this>TOAA makes the universe, including Earth>He doesn't create one thing, the Mother of Horror, who just appeared one day, found earth and started corrupting primal gods and spawning monsters herself>TOAA found out and went to check it out, the Mother infected him with a darkness,creating the One Below All>This makes TOAA biblically angry and he basically becomes TOBA (who represents his destructive side) to hurt the Mother and kill all her spawns but one (called Eldest) who runs away and hide. The Mother he cannot kill so he locks her away in an alternate dimension, with TOBA acting as the guardian making sure she stays locked up>Eldest, the only surviving child of the Mother, tries to free her sometimes during antiquity but TOBA destroys him for trying and he's also sealed away>In Immortal Hulk (2018), the Hulk seals TOBA away, preventing him from actually guarding the seal>In the 2023 Hulk run, Eldest is freed, and at the end of the run he manages to possesses Hulk's body which is the key to open the seal, but when he goes to free his mother he realizes she died in her box, so he consumes her and gains her power>Cue current Infernal Hulk run where Eldest is the self-proclaimed King of Monsters or some equivalent title and is trying to raise an army to kill every human.Now the backstory is a bit silly because yeah, TOAA is supposed to be above these kind of powerwanking plays, but remember>The backstory of TOAA and the MoM is not necessarily "what truly happened" as it is told to Hulk by another character, who themselves got things wrong (as they assumed the MoM was still alive when she had died long ago)>The run is heavily influenced by gothic horror / lovecraftian stories which typically downplay or outright remove the influence of God

He did it again in the Immortal Thor where TOAA's only there to create the first gods and impregnate Gaia.The best stories (or issues, really) that use TOAA always have him be above the cosmology stuff of Marvel, completely removed from it as is fitting for something that is also meant to be "the author" in a meta sense, not in the middle of it. Him showing up to fight Eldest qualify as "the middle of it" so I don't have high hope, the entire preview give a very Preacher feel too. Apparently some leaks said that it's more of a draw and that TOAA will leave a macguffin spear to kill Eldest, but if you ask me that's already too much

It always depends how they sell it. It's not a good start, but in current Marvel lore, Hulk is essentially the protected child of The One Below All, who is The One Above All's equal and opposite. If you push absolutely hard on something from two perfectly opposite directions it stays right where it is. At least that's how I'd try to play it to excuse why TOAA doesn't just "lol, lmao" and deletes the entire plot.
