A lot of women prefer romance and interpersonal drama over action. A lot of cars and mecha are about how cool the big mechanical things are and how fast/powerful/etc they act. That's not going to be interesting to someone who likes drama over action. The depressed, emotional, tragic, uwu small bean who's really misunderstood underneath everything vampire hotboy fills their interests of drama a lot better.

I'd suspect that if you looked at what "magical vampire gods" she's interested in, it will be internally conflicted character who has a lot of personal conflicts as they interact with other characters. It's not going to be Vampire Hunter D or some Warhammer 40k Vampire Lord who just slaughter hundreds in a half-hour episode.
