In SeaWorld's case the most noticeable thing park guests will see is how poorly-maintained Sesame Street Land is, if Universal did that for Nintendo's themed lands they'd do the exact same thing Sesame Workshop's doing.

Sesame Street was always a joint project of the Jim Henson Company and the Children's Television Workshop. The Hensons just gave them full custody of the characters in the 90s since even when Jim was trying to sell his company to Disney, Sesame Street was never meant to be part of the deal since he knew Disney would have corrupted their educational purpose.

Sesame Street hasn't been state funded for a while now, that's what the HBO and Netflix distribution deals were for.
