whats worse is having a crappy MDF shelf that sags so you need to add weight into the mix when sorting them

Any recommendations for shelves? I only have some cheap Ikea, Wal-Mart or something shelves that have worked well enough until I picked up a couple of books in DC's Ultimate format. I can't fit them in the normal orientation on the bottom shelf because of a stationary shelf above it, and I don't trust the other shelves to be strong enough to hold them and others without buckling under the weight.

You can swear here, it's okay nigger

I recently went on campaign to sort my book/TPB collection out, and inevitably I kept changing my mind over splitting things up by genre/fiction/non-fiction/book height etc etc.

I've used the IKEA book cases and they've supported several ancient tomes despite sagging for over a decade.

The Ikea Kallax has enough space for absolutes and it’s braced in such a way that the shelves don’t sag, at least mine haven’t.

Yes, I have about 8 Billy bookcases that I was going to replace but as they've managed so far I felt no urgent need to upgrade.

Ikea Billy's have 3 fixed shelves that can take heavy loads. The bottom and mid shelves, and if you have the height extender for the top, the top shelf. Top shelf with the extender above it can fit DC/Dark horse absolute/library editions. Otherwise you can move the shelf above the middle or bottow shelf up a notch or two to make more room for them.
