The 2023 DVD box art.I miss the freedom fighters and 90s American Sonic (SatAM, Archie, AoSTH) honorable mention: undergroundSatAM's environmentalist theme was good and Archie expanded upon it and added more sci-fi and mysticism. too bad sega likes to pretend that version of sonic never existed...
They look odd
>>152821304I still have all my old Archie comics from when I was a kid. The first issue I bought was the debut of Monkey Khan. The super specials were great, especially the crossover with Image Comics.
>>152821304>SatAM completely ignores early game lore both Japanese and Western, like Robotnik's name, Sonic not being able to swim, and the chaos emeralds (oddly enough all things that would've fit easily with what SatAM was trying to do anyway)>Major game characters like Tails get sidelined for quirky OCs whom the plot revolves around, leaving Sonic a glorified catch phrase dispenser rather than an actual characterI get why the show has its dedicated fans, but frankly I think the seeming venom SEGA has for the western Sonic canon is most warranted towards SatAM. It doesn't feel like something that really "gets" Sonic, even if tonally its closer SA1 or SA2 as opposed to Colors, or meta era Sonic. That being said, I vastly prefer the comedic stylings of Scratch and Grounder to Orbot and Cubot, and I think there's a lot of good material in both AoStH and Archie that doesn't deserve to be dragged down in sheer dismissal, mockery, or ridicule.
>>152821304>sally without vestbased
>>152821588>so he's a doctor with "robot" in his name?>make him a horned demon wearing a cape!???
>>152821673>American Bible: Sally Acorn (The squirrel)>DiC: Princess Sally the human woman => Sally the blonde cat => Princess Sally the chipmunk / fox hybrid (Her father was a fox)That show's development was very experimental. I think they hit jackpot with a chipmunk. Squirrel Sally in fleetway was just a Ricky
