He becomes Disney CEO later this weekWill he save animation and Disney?
>>152825261Hire John Lasseter again.
>>152825261Probably not, his education is in finance so he's probably going to stick to boring, safe sequel farming.
>>152825261>>152825316He is also a park guy and park guys are the more penny pitching parts of Disney.
>>152825261He might save the parks though?
>>152825333>He is also a park guy and park guys are the more penny pitching parts of Disney. Not necessarily, they come in a range. The current lineage for some of them (like Chapek especially) were to an insane degree penny pitchers, but the parks side also historically had the most creative and innovative guys in the entire company. Enough that they would blow budgets insanely for coming up with cool shit and would have to be reigned in, like how Eisner had Wells. That all depends on what the ceo approves though. Eisner was a wild experimenter for parks and made decisions that could blow up in his face, or become classic. Iger was insanely conservative to the point pretty much only IP attractions would be improved and projects were always trimmed back and perks cut. Iger was pure business and not into parks but Josh is way more into parks, and we will see soon if he is truly a creative when Iger is not making the shots or if he is Chapek 2.
