Since I'm dumb and didn't realize the thread was over before I made my post I'll just copypaste it here. ANGELS: WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY?I completely forgot that there were angels that came out of Jake's hopesplosion in the lead-up to [S] Game Over, which confirms that they're something that is tied into the Hope aspect itself, given that Eridan also fought and killed tons of angels on his land.Actually looking at the wiki it turns out there's more angel lore than I recalled: https://mspaintadventures.fandom.com/wiki/Angel#In_HomestuckIt's interesting that in both the cases of Eridan and Cronus the angels foretold of Lord English, but while Cronus gave up on facing him, Eridan straight up got the identity wrong, thinking that the lord of all angels was actually Jack. But then that begs the question-if Lord English is an aberration in paradox space, he's not a normal part of the Sburb experience, so how would the angels 'know' about him? Horror Terrors aren't bound by a single aspect, they're tied into Derse itself, which is why all Derse dreamers regardless of classpect can receive messages from them (presumably). Angels would be tied into Prospit and Skaia if they were dualistically opposed to the outer gods in the incipisphere, but they seem to be very specifically tied into the Hope aspect, which is interesting because we really don't see any other examples of creatures that have a tie-in with another aspect.

And as shown by sburb and the story, trying to act so directly against yourself in that way only leads to bad things.In a happier ending i think Gamzee would have gotten off of sopor and acted as a sort of synthysis between his manipulative and dour sober personality and his bubbly and chill high personality. One of my favorite gamzee scenes is him talking to rose in one of the walk around games. Hes scary.

In more narrative/story-building sense it's the power of fanon.Time isn't strictly speaking relevant to this antagonism. It's obviously important in general as the aspect of plot(along with Space, the aspect of setting), which is why they're important building blocks for the new universe both in literal and narrative-building senses, but it doesn't take the center stage when we deal with Andrew's favorite self-indulgent pomo wankery about the conflict between the author's canon vs other people's not-necessarily-canon beliefs.
