Maxine seems to have recruited some people to help her out to deal with the X-Men. And yes, the majority of the issue is focused on these guys while the X-Men are reacting to their plan.
It was already obvious last issue, but Greycrow’s bank robbery going wrong was also planned by Maxine’s team solely to not have Kwannon be around the team.

And now for Cyclops.
Last time, Cyclops visited Dr. Hanover after hearing the news that the Essex State Home for Foundlings was going to be torn down and turned into a Roxxon data center. On his trip back to the Factory in the Quinjet, he had an argument with his brother Havok over that the latter was not contacted about the orphanage being wrecked, but that discussion was suddenly interrupted when the Quinjet was shot down by a couple of Reavers who had spotted it and thought that the Avengers had come for them. As Cyclops falls down, he hits his head on a tree, which causes his optic blasts to break his visor and raze down parts of the forest until he’s knocked out. With no sight, no ways to communicate with his X-Men, and with Donald Pierce and his Reavers after him, Cyclops' only chance of survival lies in the hands of a young mutant girl...
The hunt begins…
But enough of that, let’s check back on Cyclops.
Only a few pages in and she’s already acting just like how Escapade did.And yes, very genius move to have this side character who we might not see again after this mini to have the same name as one of the main protagonists in Ultimate X-Men. Absolutely zero misunderstandings came from this decision!

Last issue, we saw that Wade was back living with Blind Al again and taking various brutal and painful merc jobs, including helping out Hammerhead expand his criminal empire. Why? Well, everything regarding his previous status quo that he acquired in Ziglar’s run is gone for reasons we don’t know and Wade himself (who does know why they're gone) is incredibly depressed about it. But just as when all hope for him seemed lost, Wade gets a mysterious envelope from the sky containing notes written by an unknown source, each one of them showcasing that the source was able to tell the future on cue. With Wade convinced, he reads the last note: a group of terrorist clowns would take control of the NYC F train and 271 people will die as a result...unless Wade decides to save them!
Looks like these messages aren’t a one-time thing. But who is sending them, and why to Wade out of all people?

And now for X-Men of Apocalypse.
Two months ago, the XoA jumped further back in time to the events of X-Men #1. While the rest of the XoA were busy fighting with the men of the O5 X-Men, Nate was able to make contact with Jean Grey and her connection to the Phoenix to figure out how they could continue their plan in restoring Earth-295 as the main timeline. This resulted in Phoenix winding the time backwards so that the XoA never arrived, and the team being split and placed in the Savage Land at two different points in time so that they can go look for M'Kraan crystal shards. While Blink, Forge, Morph and Wild Child ended up in Savage Land during X-Men #114-116 and met Wolverine and Storm, Creed, Nate and Gambit ended up in Savage Land during Uncanny X-Men #269-274...when Rogue was hanging with Magneto. Oh dear.

I was thinking about how Magik has been one of the most loyal soldiers for Cyclops for years now, and how she recently gave control of limbo to the Goblin Queen, his ex-wife, and it got me curious if there’s been any Cyclops/Madeline interactions recently, or Illyana/Maddie interactions with Scott in the room.I haven’t kept up very well in recent years, and this seemed a good place to ask.
