>>152857688>Jesus Raoul, you're not supposed to actually bite the blade
>>152857637>>152857642>>152857688It's neat that he only puts his toothy grin on when facing an enemy. He's stone-faced while putting on the makeup and explaining to Mr Fear that "Bushman" is a role he was cast in by others and then made his own. So it reinforces that the smile is part of his game-face just as much as the makeup is, it's part of the "frenzied killer" costume he wears. It makes him come across a lot more self-aware and introspective than in previous appearances where he seemed to be pure id.

Sorry but in these last 18 years I really didn't liked Phil Noto art.
I hope we'll get to see the hot Chinese vampire lady again.
>>152858978I hope Reese will stop having these stupid fucking dreadlocks
>>152858978that one of the longer-running plot points that Mackay hasn't paid off yet, along with the Night Raven connection, so I would expect it after this Bushman arc
Might as well dump this since the face-flaying of Bushman became such a big deal in Moon Knight lore and I suppose most anons likely only know of it thirdhand. There's not much of a narrative preamble to this issue. You just need to know that Marc spent the first issue of Huston & Finch's run with his legs mysteriously fucked up and monologuing internally about how he wants to do cool hero things.
>>152859219
>>152859229Marc is having a time.
>>152859243Flashback
>>152859265
>>152859277Afaik Bushman was doing well for himself as an African warlord. He likely only took the job of fighting Marc and coming to NYC because he really wanted to beat up Marc.

>>152859347
>>152859362
>>152859385There it is.
>>152859401And here's another reason why I wanted to dump this. It has a few classic characters MacKay has yet to revisit. Crawley here is one of them.https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Bertrand_Crawley_(Earth-616)
>>152859417
>>152859428Then we have Samuels.https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Samuels_(Earth-616)
>>152859443
Is Marc still on the Avengers' shit list?
>>152859454
>>152859470
>>152859417Doesn't Marvel consider Crawley dead after the Lemire run?
>>152859489"Gallic friend" referring to Frenchie, who Agence Byzantine has taken an interest in in MacKay's ongoing.
>>152859510>>152859501I think it might be a bit up in the air since it's not a 100% certainty that Crawley was even in the story.
>>152859529And here's an interesting one. The Profile, a recurring antagonist for a few Moon Knight runs between 2006 up through Shadowland.https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Profile_(Earth-616)
>>152859550Also, "they" are the Committee, a lesser known crime syndicate who were involved with Moon Knight and Jack Russell. Nowadays they're perhaps best known as the group whose offices Marc crashed a helicopter into to get back at Taskmaster. And that's that.
>>152859455Not exactly. They decided to more or less ignore him so long as he agreed to get therapy. For the most part they don't interact at all. But he earned some good boy points for helping to save the world from vampires, so there's that.
>>152859510Calling a Frenchman "Gallic" is very weird
>>152859401Classic. The MCU would never have the balls for it.
>>152860218Blood Hunt needed to cut Blade's Daughter and Miles and instead given us another book's worth of 5000 years worth of Mummy Moon Knights hunting terrified Vampires through the streets like animals.
>>152860268Crawley likes to add a bit of flourish to his speech.
>>152857504bump
>>152861029Calling him Frankish would have made more sense
>>152860825Miles was pretty blatantly forced into the event by editorial, Mackay gave him the bare minimum of screen time while also not really hiding how stupid and out of the place some of the mandated developments were. As for Blade's daughter, I think that was actually his idea though since she had a proper arc. Mackay likes to have characters go through a whole journey to save someone close to them. If they had let him write a Blade series, he would have her saving her dad like 8 issues in and then they have 4 issues where they just have some fun father daughter adventuring before the run gets canceled
>>152863250If he were German, which he's not.
>>152857642ENTER
>>152860825>another book's worth of 5000 years worth of Mummy Moon Knights hunting terrified Vampires through the streets like animals.Unironically what another one of those Moon Knight Black White and Blood books should be about
>>152863318But he is French, and he's not from Brittany so you can't even call him Breton.
Marvel deserves to go out of business for this renumbering bullshit.
>>152857642So, I guess he isn't friends with Jake anymore.
>>152857708Yes
>>152859550The Profiler was a good character I liked how just looking at Moon Knight for too long drove him mad.
>>152859455He was on the West Coast Avengers, Secret Avengers, and Savage Avengers teams. That's a hattrick which earns him a mulligan for betraying the Avengers once.
>>152864118When was Marc in Savage Aveners? He did team up with Solomon Kane in Serpent War, but that was a weird, separate event from the whole Savage Avengers stuff
>>152859470When exactly did this color scheme hit comics the hardest? Was it the mid 00s? I'm thankful for the art in the current run and I love me my Bronze and "Dark Age" comics most of all, but this specific coloring and confusing look I remember not liking back then.
>>152864118>Savage AvengersI don't think he was on that one. At least not as a mainstay member.
I miss Tigra.
>>152859428lol i love how authentic the depiction of NYC was in 2006modern marvel is incapable of reproducing something like this
bump
Please keep storytiming this, it's making me love Moon Knight and reminds me to buy the trades when they inevitably come out. Does MacKay have some big ole omnis for the rest of his time on MK?
>>152866240No, don't.
