About to marathon thisIs it any good?
Nothing is good anymore. Also watch Scavengers Reign first, that's the prequel made by the same production crew.
>>152905656Frances is a cuteMarshall can get it too
>>152905706>that's the prequelSince when?
>>152905656>Makes an entire show dedicated to naming (((them))) How did they get away with it?
Still not watching it.>but the panty raid.No thanks.
>>152906224Ok
>>152905656Yeah it's really good, I enjoyed it a lot
Shows that hold Toonami hostage are automatically bad.
>>152905656Why binge a show if you might not like it?
>>152905656It's good, but I never trusted that it would stick the landing and it feels like it kicked that can down the road to season 2. I guess you can just enjoy it for what it is. It's a visual treat as far as western cartoons go, people filtered by the art style are brainlets.
>>152905656yeah
Dude drugs lmao
Rick's in a k-hole at the end of the season btw>tastes an extract of the mushroom>flooded with incredible marketable mushroom idea>starts having visions of being a pinata and this weird blue-sprayed food thing on all sorts of weird ideas>the scientist I forget the name of somehow has the stock projections ready to go after a speech of how testing isn't going well>somehow opening on the stock market in a timeframe of days, since this is all happening in the time it takes Francis to drive to the west coast from Dallas when she called him backShe drugged him and is taking the extract to competitors as a tool of hallucinogenic control free of the natural side effects of little white men and mental compulsions
>>152905706It’s not a prequel, it’s a separate show. But don’t let that stop you.
>>152906666Oh don't worry Satan, OP's DEFINITELY gonna like Common Side Effects
>>152905802Anon doesn't understand the difference between a prequel and a showrunner working on multiple shows
>>152905656>adult swim>good
>>152905706Both are good and for different reasons. >>152906666Because he might like it. He can stop whenever he wants. Checkmate, Mega Satan.
>>152910528Yes, faggot
>>152905774real
>>152905656https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMXBJW1PuU8Yes.
>>152905656i really liked iti wish the second season would come already
>>152905774Same.
>>152912824Expect it sometime next year probably, seems like they didn't get the renewal 'til right as S1 was done airing
>>152905656it looks good
>>152905861NGL i'm surprised that one of the FBI agents comparing Adderall to crystal meth made it into the show. Probably the most redpilled thing I've seen in a /co/ show in a while.
>>152905656No. Save your time. You will not have fun. You will not finish learning something new. CSE give you subpar story + comedy. Made exclusively for millennials.
>>152916086>Made exclusively for millennials. And what are you, for context?
>>152911169Marshall won.
>>152905656Yes it is good. I also marathon'd it.
Yeah, it's a cool show. Enjoy.
>>152910551Get taste.
>>152905706This
>>152905656very much enjoyable if not bingeworthy once you get past the face thing
>>152905656>>152921569i think it's better not to binge it. in the very first scene, marshall alleges that reutical pharmaceuticals has tried to harm him before, but in that same scene the ceo of reutical shows that he has no idea who marshall is. you can connect these dots and figure somthing out if you give yourself some time between episodes.
>>152905656I binged the whole thing in one night. Very underrated and great soundtrack
>>152905656Based on that art I don’t see how it’s possible
>nobody ever reacts to my Rick theory in these threads>not even to say it's dumb and I should kill myselfFucking, give me dopamine, 4chan.
>>152923874I staved off watching it for like 6 months because the art turned me off so much. Not in itself, but i thought it would just be another shitty animated comedy like inside job or whatever, especially combined with the political topic. It's actually very well animated and includes lots of character animation or whatever you call it, like the cartoon version of acting with little details that give life to the character.
It took me like 8 episodes to realize the CEO sounds exactly like hank hill even though I knew since ep 1 that Mike judge was involved with the show
>>152905656It's pretty good, and one of the few 'political' stories you can unironically enjoy regardless of your own personal political opinions on the American healthcare system.
>>152923962I don't feel it, i think the shroom spice will have unforseen consequences and be part (together with the mycologist water supply activities) of totally saturating the world with the mushroom. I don't know if the effects will be good or bad but it will be extremely widespread and creeping
>>152924032>the art turned me off so muchThe contrast actually kind of helps. It's the contrast between the 'home movies' artstyle and the actually fairly grounded and serious story that makes it memorable.
>>152924112I mean the art isn't bad and i even like the woll smoth faces, but from a glance it looks like a lot of other adult animation which suck. The animation is completely different though.
>>152905656One question I have about the Mushroom that the show never really answers, and probably never will because it would be too politically incorrect and contoversial. Even for conservative Mike Judge. How does the mushroom work on people with gender dysphoria?
>>152905656>>152924194So the mushroom can cure. >Blunt force trauma >Vehicular accidents>Gunshot wounds>Cancer>Poison>Dementia/Alzheimers>Skin conditionsThings it seemingly can't cure.>Old age. It's not a fountain of youth>Missing teeth. Both Hildy and that accident victim are both missing teeth. >Baldness.
>>152915668Suddenly the meth epidemic in florida makes a lot more sense. Everyone has undiagnosed Autism, and can't afford proper medication.
>>152906553Honestly if this was animated in more boondocks or black dynamite style it probably wouldn't be out of place on toonami.
>>152910537Why did you respond to that anon twice?
>>152924323So you're saying we should kill more Cubans and Puerto Ricans?
clinically committee writted show designed to capture modern internet using audiences who do all their water cooler talk over stim scrolls or basket weaving forums. not actually good, just good at it. if you like it you're stupid or at the very least have zero capability for pattern recognition.
>>152905656It's very predictable.
>>152905656s'okay
>>152924802I don't think they're behind either the autism or the meth.
>>152926293lol, never noticed the humping.
>>152927082heh
>>152905656Why do they all have tiny faces like Charlie Kirk
>>152924304they don't replenish keratin it seems
>>152905706What was HBO Max's fucking DEAL, though? We could've at least gotten one more season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSEPJ9OtQb8
>>152923634>the ceo of reutical shows that he has no idea who marshall iHe's not exactly the brightest bulb
>>152916143
>>152927649Mike Judge inserting conservative propaganda per usual
>>152929347Warner Brother was literally on fire at the time. Between the Discovery Merger, and everything else the company was dealing with.
If you have an appetite for "midlife crisis" dark humor, give Fired on Mars a whirl. It's simultaneously demented about individual human psychology and sharply insightful about corporate culture. The main character's life becomes such a punching bag that it approaches philosophical allegorical literature.
>>152930041Kys
>>152932081Low-Kirkenuenly Unalive Yourself fellow basedpilled goonsire XD
>>152916143The Ass Was Fat
>>152905656It's great. We don't have any info on S2 though>>152931583Fired on Mars is great, but it lies about being a comedy. I agree with everything you have said about it
>>152930738Sucks either way. At least Green Street is getting more work. I'm looking forward to that Joe Pera cartoon, especially since they're producing it.
>>152933236i thought it was funny
>>152934772It is, but only as a very dark comedy. They billed it as a workplace comedy, which it just isn't
>>152905656I can't believe they got away with basing the main bad guy on Klaus Schwab.
>>152905656Yeah it's pretty good
>>152908296Yeah?
>>152934865it takes place where he works.
>>152916143I don't remember being built with such thick legs or even noticeable hips like that. Also the one on the left looks CG for some reason
i give it a chance because it's something different, but it was boring.
>>152936089i saw him as more like larry fink.>>152938592what do you find engaging?
>>152908613It's not that at all, thoughever.
>>152931583https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Fc67yQsPqQ
>>152939340>readers added context: it was
>>152939068Larry Fink isn't swedish.
>>152933236>>152934772>>152934865>>152940251I would say the "comedy" comes from just how absurd they are willing to push the acute and relentless suffering and humiliation of the main character. The relief is only in how much he endures and grows to become the master of his own sense of self despite the absolute indifference and disrespect that the sociopathic colonists constantly treats him. TO find it funny you would have to be able to relate to that feeling of ridiculous social stress.I got another show if Fired on Mars is too grim, Netflix's Strip Law is way more goony and slapstick but just as smart. I found it uproarious, but prudish ideologicals might object to it's debauchery.
>>152924194Resolves the mental anguish the disorder causes so transitioning is now a choice of personal expression and not a fervent drive of IM NOT GOOD ENOUGH
>>152923634To be fair, not only is Marshall a bit paranoid (not without cause but he's jumpy) but he also wouldn't know the difference between Rick sending armed thugs after him and Jonas doing it. All he knows is he snooped around a Reudical industrial site and got targeted. To him it was probably the CEO, not some shadow figure above Rick.
>>152940251banger
>>152926293thiss'alright
>>152942075>>152924194>>152924304What about stuff like Down Syndrome or Autism?
>>152939340>>152939068He looks so much like Klaus Schwab, down to the wrinkles.
>>152945431If we go with the mushroom Ego Death theory, it would just calm them down and they would experience a sublime peace and self-actualization.
>>152941995Someone actually watched this?
ugly ass show
>>152946317It must've been intentional.
>>152905656It's a documentary.
>>152946367It's only 10 episodes, you can bang it out in an afternoon.
>>152946381Ugly ass anon
>>152947771Not surprising if you know anything about Mike Judge's previous work. He's probably the only somewhat right-wing person in mainstream entertainment right now.
>>152905656yes
>>152914976Kiki turns me on
>>152946381It kind of works. Surprisingly.
I really enjoyed season 1, but I'm worried they won't resolve everything they've setup in a satisfying way.
>>152929891I hope Sam got to hit at least once before it was too late
>>152952321gonna need a source, anon
Second best hospitalKrapapapolis
>>152905656It's kino. It looks like if Beavis and Butt-Head was an anime and it is good in general on top of that.
>>152952586>filename Tho it looks like they deleted it from their Xitter for whatever reason
I think there should be more animated thriller series. ‘Miraculous’ could be a good candidate.
>>152955698>Miraculous That kiddie ladybug-themed superhero cartoon?
>>152955967Yes. There’s actually a very shocking conspiracy taking place in that show.
>>152905656Don't listen to anyone's opinionJust watch the first 3 episodes and make up your own
