Ok I think I get now why I have a problem with the Caine plotline. Jax is being forgiven when he was explicitly evil towards the cast many times, with no such privilege going to the AI. You may argue that this is beacuse Cain is an AI, but then the cast makes accusations towards him like he is in fact a real person capable of change and acting out of his own volition while he is an AI trying his best to follow his faulty programming. You might say this is autistic and maybe so, but this doesn't excuse the narrative making Cain an emotional character that we could sympathise with.
