We also know how Pomni and Zooble got in, they were urban explorers that found the scanner in an abandoned building.What we don't know is how Jax and his crew got in, or how Ragatha got in, or Gangle. With Ragatha it seems pretty likely that she was doing her job as a real estate agent and put on the scanner while showing the place based on her dialogue in the flashback.What we do know is that Gangle seems to have been in a horrific car accident/suicide attempt and that Jax thinks this is all some coma or dying dream.I think someone scanned them in a desperate attempt to save them after fatal injuries. Jax's real-life flashbacks seem to involve police and being chased through a forest, he may have been beaten half-to-death before waking up in the Circus. It would certainly explain why he might think it was a coma dream.
