I always thought the comic's ending was bittersweet. Most of the characters get a happy ending, but Sex Bob-omb is dead. I wish they could've stayed together and gone to the next level but it wasn't meant to be.

Shatterband seems much more fun for both Scott and Kim, even with Scott flubbing the lyrics horribly there's no pressure, it's just the two friends goofing off and having fun in their spare time. I think I may take a shot at doing a small comic after reading this. I've never been able write stories, but the plot skeleton I just mapped out seems like it could be pretty alright. I figure I could use a lot of the same techniques to make it feel like a lived in world, ie using real places and real lore/in jokes from my life. I've got to fine tune it, but I think in the meantime I might have to brush up on my drawing skills.

I had a circle of friends, all equally toxic, and we pretty much got drunk and played MTG together. He was left literally in the street. He hit rock bottom, just like Scott hit rock bottom after Envy left him. The person who lifted Scott was Ramona. She gave him strength to move on. Gideon had that as well in the form of Julie, who knew who Gideon was without all the money and power. Just like Ramona inspired Scott to reclaim his life by confronting his past. So did Julie with Gideon, hence him wanting to apologize to Ramona for the league, or him planning to take his empire back from Pattel, or even him going to the future to fight Godeon.Gideon's journey perfectly mirrors Scott's both in the evil and the redemption. Many won't see it because they're stubborn with the idea that Gideon has to be a one dimensional villain for Scott to beat or he wouldn't grow. But seeing Gideon change just like Scott, proved Scott isn't special. Any asshole can change if they choose to do so.
