>Authoritarian
Also known as the only correct type of parenting.

>>152947256
That kind of parenting is a one-way ticket to a nursing home. A cheap one.

Convinced that the weird cuck guy is just one poster obsessed with the subject because he pushes it in multiple threads like the Gumball ones too, always posting the exact same shit.

>t. has never raised young children
You can't always talk shit out with kids. You should strive to find balance, but sometimes they just need to put your foot down and give them clear consequences for their behavior. Warning a child that they lose access to a toy if they continue to try and break it is not going to scar a child to the point of breeding deep-seated resentment.

Ideally authoritative parenting is considered the best since it's both controlling but in a way that's meant to benefit the child in way that's understanding and emotionally supporting. Other styles tend to be lopsided on trading control for expectations (authoritarian parenting wants control at the expense of emotional support.) It's unfortunate that other styles tend to get promoted as being "fine" due to the normalization of them causing people to get just world biased toward believing bad parenting traits are deserved for some children whilst parents don't take accountability for their parenting tacit. Authoritative parenting can be challenging but it ultimately the most beneficial in the long term for children, and the parent if they're willing to learn about themselves and their behaviors along the way.
TL;DR Everyone needs a Fran in their life.

CHILDREN DON'T KNOW SHIT

THEY LOOK TOWARDS YOU TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO THINK

THEY LIKE IT WHEN YOU GIVE THEM VERY STRONG RULES AND CERTAINTIES ABOUT LIFE

IT MAKES THEM FEEL SAFE AS THEY LEARN TO INTERACT WITH THE WORLD

FUCK
>>
>>152949512
they're also not stupid, if you tell or demand of them shit that doesn't make sense to them they will endlessly fight you, or act out even harder behind your back
>>
>>152949536
And that's a product of you not being a good adult who understands the world and the reason behind rules yourself

You don't need to make a good case for everything you do to a child you just need to not be a dumb emotionally vulnerable moron who can't assert themselves without bargaining and whinning the entire time

So a parent saying "if you get an A on your spelling quiz we will go get ice cream" and then when the kid gets sad because they got a B the parent would respond
>Authoritative
"Good job, keep at it and you will get an A next time!"
>Authoritarian
No frowning, you didn't get an A so no ice cream
>Permissive
"You tired really heard so here is the ice-cream anyways
>Rejecting-Neglecting
Never offered to get them Ic Cream for the A at all.
If I understand it correctly.

Yes you do, or they won't respect your judgement. If you can't show them what's right they will decide it for themselves, and no fear of consequences will stop them from doing so.

Yep. Now add various people who have differing styles, beliefs, values, desires, personality traits, implicit trauma, self awareness, levels of emotional intelligence, and anything you believe will affect a parents' ability to do their duties AND whether or not they're willing to change their ways for authoritative parenting and you will enjoy this image on a deeper, more analytical and emotional level.
>>
>>152949667
You won't be able to explain everything every time to a literal child you moron, you can explain them obvious things or basic logical thought processes about how the world, technology, science, money and biology works but you can't just tell them some relative or a random person in their life is obviously too stupid or shady to be entrusted with something or how their word about what they will or will not do is worth nothing because they don't have the emotional fortitude or impulse control to follow through yet, or the ability to assess risk, danger and reward. You can TRY to explain it to them, but no amount of "WELL MY CHILD ISN'T STUPID" is gonna help when they get stubborn and shitty because they're in a bad mood for no reason.

Children also lie a lot, and they like to talk a lot of shit when it gets them the kind of attention they want. You might get them to behave and even act nice around you but it's a process that takes their entire young life to stop being easily influenced by other people, and to truly measure bad consequences and consider them before doing stupid shit. Unless you are a full time parent you will have to be able to get your child to know they shouldn't do stupid shit while you're away without spending every second you have together lecturing and nagging them about it. That's what a parents' authority is for.

Ideas don't exist in a vacuum. They tend to implicate other ideas. Someone's beliefs on smaller ideas will influence how they view larger ideas in general. I suppose that's why some political compass tests ask parenting questions to see how you view certain approaches to control over support. Although, it's possible that they don't necessarily follow through the same.
So basically if I was /pol/ user I'd call Fran a libtard lol

FOR FUCK'S SAKE! I THOUGHT MY CURSE WAS LIFTED!

For context, I got spoiled, like, two weeks in a row because I only use Imgur for viewing Litterbox Comics. So, I started skipping the new stuff for no reason and it's all your fault, anons. But, I didn't see the comic from 2 weeks ago being posted here. While there was a Litterbox thread that week, it wasn't for the new comic. I assume it was posted, but the thread died before I saw, so the curse is lifted. Last week's comic wasn't spoiled by you anons because Desuarchive has image loading issues for half the day, so I couldn't see the comic in that thread. That and I forgot to post in that thread, so I assume its a win/win scenario. But now the curse is back.

>tldr: I only use Imgur on Saturdays.
