Who?

Season 1 is perfectly rewatchable

Nice cope

I'm sick of Charlie frankly. He's not funny anymore, he's annoying. Same with Mr. Boss.
>>
Negetivity bias makes people dwell on negativity more than positive ones so people forgetting the show makes sense.

Man I’m so sick of the rock.

Which ep was that? Smiling Friends has only entered my vocabulary in the way I greet some people with a "Heh-LOOOO" in Pim's delightful dialect
>>
>>152949991
Charlie is kind of a drag to be around. Wonder why he's even working with the Smiling Friends to begin with.

>>152949991

Yeah I really wish we got like a Charlie origin movie

I guess it's more or less of an easy job in theory, and the pay must be decent enough. Probably no training or any degree required, can slack around a bit, etc.

Personally I'd still prefer Mordecai and Rigby's job, though.
>>
>>152949940
Do you think it might be revived at some point?
>>
>>152951369
>Personally I'd still prefer Mordecai and Rigby's job, though.
The pay is probably very low. The free housing is attractive to no-skill slackers like those two, but you're basically signing up to be stuck there if you're not looking to quit for something better after a little while.

It seems chill, I'd love a job like that when I was young. Free room and board, having your best friend as a roommate, the other park crew members are alright too, and it's nothing too complicated, just ordinary park maintenance stuff, which I guess can be a bit tedious, but doing menial stuff can be good, you just do it on autopilot.
>>

It'd be great as a "gap year" gig for an 18 year-old. Half summer vacation, half cushy job to "try out" being an adult working to earn money.

You guys are weird. Charlie's great because he's the realist and the straight man who helps ground an otherwise nonsensical cartoon. His flaws and his attitude are relatable and pair up well with Pim's equally endearing optimism.

how come one was ridiculed its entire run while the other an instant hit ?
>>
>>152952337
Yeah I agree, Charlie was a perfect complement to Pim, both were great.

Now, I do agree with >>152949991 in the sense that Mr. Boss became a bit too much, specially in the last season. I preferred when he appeared more or less sporadically.
>>
>>152949940
Should have never made fun of Tomar

Time and place. UG sadly was released during a time where people hated silly surreal random humour and wanted deep lore focused "mature" shows. Not gonna like IF SF was released in 2012/2013, I'm pretty sure it would have been hated as well
>>
>>152954233
I'd say there's also a matter of design appeal and target audience appeal. Some people might be put off by UG premise and design.
>>
>>152949940
I'll never forget.

My favourite bits of his in S3 were the Super Monkey Ball dap-up and when he put that witch in a headlock. Mr. Boss kind of fell flat outside of that, but I will say he was the MVP of the "Silly Samuel." That ep would've been a waste without him.

Awful comparison, Uncle Grandpa is infinitely more obnoxious than Smiling Friends
>>
>>152955355
The Uncle Grandpa character alone rivals Zach in terms of raw insufferability.

mogged by digital circus
>>
>>152951516
Jobs that sound easy but give you housing instead of livable money kind of suck in real life because it makes the boss feel like they own you 24/7 when it’s convenient regardless of what was in the contract (and they know you have no way out if you’re desperate enough to take that deal in the first place). The SF guys have a pretty sweet deal though.
>>
>>152955339
True, he was the most memorable thing on Silly Samuel.
I did like Mr. Boss, I just didn't want the guy to be flanderized beyond recognition.
