>>152955411Parley's teleportation is not that perfect. She's improved her control over time, but the way it's been established seems to imply that it requires very good awareness. She started out not even being able to control when to teleport, then smitty was able to use his power to kinda stabilize hers when they started dating and only after several years of training did she become confident using it all the time at close range or to familiar places. We've never seen Parley teleport into an unfamiliar place, iirc. It seems to work in a similr way to the distortion's teleportation. It would be nearly impossible to teleport into the sky in the distortion, unless the person teleporting was a pilot or something, because you need a connection to the place you're going. Parley has more freedom than that, she probably could teleport into the sky, but she's probably not trained for that and the attempt might be too risky to even try it for the first time in order to train the move to begin with, especially now that she doesn't have her runes anymore to protect her if anything were to go wrong, but that's not really relevant.I think it would have been smarter to try, but Parley is not a cold blooded killer (if that would even kill Noa, which it likely wouldn't), so homicide is simply not her first thought when making a split second decision to save her friends.
