I guess this movie, at least partially, canonizes the pixar theory by lumping these into the same universe>Cars 1, 2, 3>UP>Monster Inc and University>Wall-E>LIGHTYEAR>Hoppers
That makes the Car universe more horrifying than it already was
>>152960154Humans invented scream-powered technology? How did monsters get it then?
>>152960515I don't know if it implies they invented it, but rather that they discovered it.
So it's the Lightyear universe and not the Toy Story universe where Buzz is fictional?

>>152960154Cars doesn't fit into the "Pixar timeline" at all. How do sentient cars end up following human history beat for beat after humans died out? Cars has to exist in it's own universe.

>>152960154>90% of her ideas are just>We put X into Y>We put a person into a car>We put a translator into a dog collar>We put a dog into a plane>We put trash into a robot>etc.
>>152964609accidentally summed up the lazy "what if X was alive" trend of Pixar everyone else has called out for years, but everyone looks at it through the opposite lens of how epic and awesome this i and has no awareness about it
>>152964225they take turns with that lab guy that got into the seagull
so why did they discontinue hopping tech at the end of the movie? they learnt that animals are as sentient as humans in this movie and don't do anything with that? why is "talking dog collar" a thing being presented years later when hopping tech in the movie shows that they already have a universal animal translator? wouldn't it make more sense to teach animals to write??
>>152964225Nisha is many things but not a bottom

>>152964809Hopping technology was determined too "dangerous" by investors after the high profile event where a butterfly took over the mayor and almost killed a whole bunch of people.
>>152964989yes, that's how I watched it. unfortunately I think the movie is supposed to be in a 16:9 aspect ratio ,and the version I saw was in a cropped ultra widescreen format, so there were some scenes where characters were either cut off entirely or partially. For example this exchange, Mabel is talking to a small character on the ground but you can't see them at all, I thought they were off-screen or they were going to zoom in on an ant or something

>>152965711>interesting, I thought movies in theaters were entirely safe from being distributed by pirates but I guess notSounds like since the Russia-Ukraine war there has been a flow of DCP dumps from non sanctioned CIS countries into Russia.I was under the impression that DCPs were so heavily encrypted this was impossible but I guess less than scrupulous cinema owners in CIS countries could frankenstein up a DCP projector to dump the contents.
>>152962934That's a reference to Up
>>152964561People hate Cars so much for being a Pixar movie aimed at rednecks that they adamantly insist that Larry the Cable Guy Truck genocided all the good Pixar characters and ruined the universe forever.

They should've had her skate more in the movie.
>>152966424Imagine she gets with Jerry and slowly bonds with his mother because she's got grandma energy. Between his daddy energy, and her grandma energy, going to his place leads her to having a variety of strong and confusing feelings. Clearly she has to fuck some of that energy out.

>>152960154Just watched the HD leak. Way better than anything I expected. I liked that I didn't know exactly where the movie would go next. I also like it when in a silly crazy thing like this you go all in and do silly over the top shit. Don't pretend it's anything else but a fun movie. Plus everyone was kinda likable. Solid 8/10.
>>152967079>spoilerFunny enough, I think Jerry has a line here that even if Mabel wanted to he'd not let her indulge that fantasy, at least when it comes to his mother. Now, I do think Mabel would kinda have some kind of kink for GILFs potentially. DILFs for sure, but the GILF thing for her would partially be processing the loss of her grandmother. The good thing for her about following local politics so closely is the median age is like 55 years old, so she can lust over Jerry and whoever else he's arguing with at a City Council meeting. That's extra incentive for Jerry to get her to come to the fancier events.

>>152972808>You're not my real dad, you're my sex dad!Jerry has a naturally patriarchal demeanor, so despite the fact that it weirds him out, he's physically incapable of not giving off sexy dad energy to the point it's maddening to Mabel.
>>152975631>Many people start seeing a gray or two in their 30s if they have a high stress job. So can definitely see him being a bit younger than he looksThat's why he's considered the sexiest mayor. It's in part because he's legit hot and other part because his competition isn't quite holding up.
One of the film's best creative decisions is using the visibility of sclera to indicate when an animal is being understood. There are a lot of clever little touches that really make the film shine.
