What's your opinion on early Justice League comics?
>>152961229That Sanpper Carl sure is a cool dude and makes the comic book mcuh more relatatble for kids liek me
>>152961229They're sort of fun. I didn't read a lot of them though.
There's basically no good Justice League comics before JLI. It's kind of wild how DC was just putting out mediocre 50's tier material well into the 80's when Marvel was at least trying to break grounds in the 60's
>>152961229Like 99% of Silver Age DC it's shit but unlie DC didn't really get better in the bronze age eithe.>>152961411There's a reason the Legion and later on Teen Titans were more popular.
>>152961229They hold up WAY better than the early Avengers comics
>>152961411I think it is because the justice league isn't really a proper "team", it is more of a team-up
>>152961229I read some of the Gardner Fox stuff and it was very boring.
>>152961229Okay-ish
>>152961229s'okay
>>152961563Idk about that
>>152961229Superfriends tie-in comic was better.
>>152961229Love the logo
>>152967042Why do you say this?
>>152961229Always funny how the early comics didn't have either Batman or Superman in the cover
>>152961229They’re shit. That’s why modern flashback always retcon their early adventures to something more modern and non-hokey.
>>152969572>Always funny how the early comics didn't have either Batman or Superman in the coverThat's odd. They are in the story.
>>152969822They aren't front and center like modern ones
>>152961229no comic written before 1991 is worth reading
>>152970007>no comic written before 1991 is worth readingwhy 1991?
>>152970091cause that's when I started reading comics
>>152970538Silly.
>>152961229Where would we be without them?
>>152972818We would have less comics :(
>>152969822Mort Weisinger objected very loudly to Superman being in a Julius Schwartz title. He ran to Publisher Irwin Donenfeld and was overrules. But to placate Weisinger, Schwartz didn't feature him on the covers of the early issues and used him inside as little as possible.
>>152967078Was it? I was looking at the DC Finest.
