Then Silk showed, but Slott pussied out about his obvious Asian women fetish. But then Gwen came in and Marvel kept trying to make her a thing. So now you had three younger women with spider-powers (Silk is around Peter's age, but she always ends up feeling younger), and Gwen is the one getting the big push. Anya ends up getting the shaft.
