He is very faithful to the original art style, characterization and tone of the comics and characters and has successfully reintroduced her to the masses. He does original things and also turns the existing comics into animations. It's a rare example of someone doing a good job of taking an existing character and making her their own. He's also never claimed to own Jucika even though she exists in a copyright limbo.
