Let's discuss incognitos or subjects that don't add up to the story.

In the latter seasons of The Smurfs, Grandpa Smurf is introduced; Papa Smurf says that he was his Papa when he was young, meaning that there was another village before the current one. It was also revealed that after GP disappeared, Papa was left alone, and a wizard taught him all about magic.

I imagine that the Smurfs' tribe has a rule stating that the next Papa Smurf must abandon his village to found his own and never have contact with it again, but Grandpa left when Papa was still in training
So, what happened to the previous village and its Smurfs? Why couldn't PS return to it? Given that it was an abnormal situation. Did the comics ever touch the subject?

Not OP, but fuck you! I'll take any excuse to have another Smurf thread, GPT or not!
