Do you guys think I should begin watching this show?
Parts of it are good.

>>152977997I disagree, I think the Journey to Newtopia/Newtopia/Finding the stones/True Colors arc that makes up the bulk of Season 2 is the strongest the show is, lots of solid episodes in there even when they aren't advancing the myth arc. The horrible first half of S3 is the first point in the show where I didn't feel like it was consistently improving.S1 is ok but the "comfy vibes" are undercut but the constant "didn't we learn a valuable lesson today?" toddlerslop storytelling. Not to start the inevitable crossfandom flame war but the big difference TOH, Gravity Falls, and Star Vs had compared to Amphibia was that none of those shows felt like they were "talking down" to the audience and moralizing. I can't immediately think of another recent DTVA show that had the same incessant "what did we learn today" vibe as Amphibia and it's what really bugged me about the show.tl;dr: S2 > S3.5 > S1 > S3.0

The show has a lot of moments I fastforwarded due to secondhand cringe because Anne did something deliberately retarded. A lot of S1 episodes were like that. S2 was overall pretty good. S3A was back to S1 shenanigans, except it was the frogs giving me that cringe. S3B was good.

On a rewatch for me personally it'sS1 = S2 > S3I prefer the random one off adventure episodes of s1/2 more to townie stuff or plot of s3.
