Darrick Bachman can only do so much since the two of them have formed a kind of "echo chamber" creative partnership. Any project of his with heavy dialogue absolutely cannot be as auteur as his more silent works
i liked the animation a lot but lost interest in the story/dialogue and have meaning to come back and finish it. The brilliance of PRIMAL being silent, and letting the direction and storyboarding and such take over, sorta ruined me and I kept wishing it was like that.
Didn't Genndy admit he had to change the story because some ideas were already done? Whatever this show is, it's not what he envisioned in the 2000s
