When you watch a cartoon you're non-verbally agreeing to spend your time looking at characters with goofy and exaggerated features, that is, in fact, the definition of a cartoon. If you don't like it you can always just switch to live action.

It's also supposed to be funny that these characters look silly and cartoonish, while from their perspective it's a body horror nightmare. You're meant to laugh at these characters and take them a bit seriously at the same time. It's one of those terrifying and mind-boggling situations where multiple things can be true at the same time

These bodies were created by an AI who doesn't understand humans but still tried to interpret their personalities, and had no concept of anything other than the training data it was given during its early development, resulting in everyone getting wacky cartoony forms whether they like it or not.
