>The Conqueror Worm>"im the strongest" - goggle gog
>>152986551I like the open mouths. Reminds me grubs if they had human-like faces.
>>152986551get gogg'd nerd
>>152986551Gog, unlike Allison, is only a jobber by choice and can in fact whip hordes of mooks into chunky salsa whenever the mood strikes her.
>>152986551I'll be real. I can't see how Jaggy boy can fight this when the time comes.
>>152987517>can't see how Jaggy boy can fight this when the time comes. That's the neat part, you won't. Allison blew her 7 minutes load early so the Jag confrontation will be entirely different.
>>152986551This is the level of performance I expected from Alison and White Chain. I thought this was the bullshit Key of Kings wielders could pull off in their sleep.
>>152987517>dude who can set off tactical nuke blasts with his sword can't handle one (1) city block of biomass
>>152987517With the fire of creation itself, anon. Spacetime manipulation. Reality warping sorcery. For some reason Jagganoth and Mottom seem to be the only ones to use their demiurge magic and versatility in combat instead of relying on a singular gimmick.
>>152986551Surprising restraint/precision from Gog to avoid eating Allison's army, as well.
>>152986551Ok so what do we think that key wielding effect in the last panel is? Incubus' ship firing on Gog? Incubus himself attacking? The Nuclear nun and the merry band of jobbers Allison can't one shot for some reason? Jagganoth breaking free? Gog charging up an attack?
>>152987813I keep waiting for Allison to summon the skull of a goddess and knock down some goddamn Ebon Devils like she did in the prepwork for the Mammon heist, and it never happens.I think learning to fight properly actually nerfed Allison. Hard.
>>152987925>Jadis is locked in by predestination>Incubus is a canonical shitter obsessed with fight autism to the point making swords with Key power was a breakthrough for him>Solomon is prideful as hell in his base skills; he actually does know shown by him adding the second sun to Rayuba, other than pride in his abilities Ki Rata is also how he murdered a Demiurge warlord for his first Key so presumably it's his fallback>Gog is too bored to try>Mammon had depression until recently, and then he cast Summon Meteor (it wasn't very effective)Mottom is just enough of a shitter (wasn't even the best sorcerer among the Demiurges until Jadis was put on ice) she leans on the Key to do stuff, Jagganoth is locked in and violencemaxing.
>>152987945How much do you wanna bet we're getting build-up for another "admit you NEEDED me" moment, but this time it's an offer that's impossible to refuse?
>>152988944Nta but while I didn't think of that, now that you've mentioned it yeah I see it. The "twist" is that Allison is going to just go "Um, no shit? Yeah that was really helpful actually" and Gog is going to be nonplussed at the sincerity after countless cycles dealing with power-mad god-kings.
>>152988384>Jadis is locked in by predestinationI hate that Jadis will never be free and any actions she makes can be observed as her still following the wheel's preplanned script. I guess everybody can't go out like a bad bitch like Mottom.
>>152987517>>152987813I think the time is coming now. Surely that Key in the dark at the bottom of the page is the Jadhog breaking free.>>152987925No I think we are about to see some absolutely brutal sharp rock fighting.
>>152989138I don't remember if people talked about this before, but the subtext I took away from how she and Allison parted ways was that Jadis is as much trapped by her depression as she is by the actual predestination itself since she also showed Allison a glimpse of the Wheel and Allison ultimately got up and left. And that, theoretically, she could have a Dr. Manhattan at the end of Watchmen moment if Allison inspires her enough to (rather than be surprised) reinterpret ongoing events differently, and stop moping around.I also hope that this never happens because at this point, I don't trust Abby to write it well. We may never know why, but for some reason he's much better at writing interesting bottom texts and in-universe psalms and liturgies than he is at the writing the actual plot of his webcomic. It would come off as dumb, and cheesy, and kind of Sailor Moon-coded.>But that last part's a good thing! No.
>>152988314>I keep waiting for Allison to summon the skull of a goddess and knock down some goddamn Ebon Devils like she did in the prepwork for the Mammon heist, and it never happens.>I think learning to fight properly actually nerfed Allison. Hard.Maybe incubus was actually a pretty good teacher.
>>152987968We're going to stop looking at Gog for a few minutes to instead watch the clashing of two especially sharp rocks.
>>152988384to be fair to Salami ki-rata is just that OP
>>152987841>one city block of biomassin the last 2 seconds
>>152990714TRVTHNVKE: All of Allison's teachers are good teachers. That catch is that Allison herself is a poor student.
>>152989301My personal theory as to why his writing has gotten so much worse over time is that his fanbase infected him with weebery, and the influence was disastrous. While the whole thing was always sort of an isekai, the last several years have shown a lot of really blatant shonenslop influences that have tanked the story.
>>152991397>TRVTHNVKE: All of Allison's teachers are good teachers. That catch is that Allison herself is a poor student.incubus was probably one of the best given how powerful she was then
>>152988314>>152988314Fucking insane that she hasnt done anything like that since book 3
>>152992000Channeling gods like that is also a cool technique and we never get to see any other person do it.
>>152986551That dude in the second panel looks uncannily like Jagganoth
>>152986551Pretty cool, big Kingdom Death vibes. Wonder whose key that is shining in the last panel, looks like Allisons'?
What makes me sad is that I was born on Earth and belong to Mottom's domain. I want to be Goged. She is the coolest and most fun by far, and it's not fair your demiurge is determined by the world you get born at.
>>152987517Fucking how? Didn't you see him destroy a continent sized chunk of Dave's place in one attack?
Does time pass at a normal rate inside the technique of relief? Jagg might take a moment to get his bearings if he still thinks he's fighting solomon when he pops out.
>>152992803Or he might throw an apocalypse off the rip without care for who's around.
>>152987517Jag fighting Gog is an endurance test, it all depends on if he can cut down Gogs numbers until Gog isn't a threat anymore and I'm sure he could pull it off
>>152987517He already fought Gog when she was the size of a moon and still needed six other demiurges to take him down
So how about starting with some good ol' gogagoging next time so you can save your fleet, your troops and your friends, Al Yisun ?
>>152990714>>152991397>>152991947>Entire story is beating you over the head about what a shitty student Incubus is because Incubus clutches his sword too hard or whatever, >But while this is true, Incubus is unironically a great teacher>The comic will somehow end with Incubus somehow teaching a bunch of other orphans to study the blade for pure love of the game, without the parasitism of his earlier antics (because he has realised he is already OP as fuck now he can CREATE SHARP ROCKS AT WILL!)Expectations=subverted
>>152991471I think you're onto something. Fundamentally after all, KSBD is a derivative work-first a wildly revised comic from the Homestuck forums, and then mostly cribbing it's lore from Elder Scrolls. The Ashes of Ariandel shoutout was, in hindsight, a bad omen.>>152992000I think she did something called AESMA BIG STOMP or somesuch during the tournament, but it was really underwhelming because it was just a big stomp that didn't even destroy the whole arena or awe everyone watching with a giant foot falling out of the sky or whatever.
>>152992849Going back to subtextual things I can't prove but just kind of felt from the webcomic, whatever Supreme Divine Art is I think it somehow scales off violence. Like how during the big Demiurge fight Jag starts off with low tier moves, then escalates, and escalates, and breaks out his warform, and only at the end breaks out his planet-scarring strike. It would also explain why he's so desperate for the Demiurges to start fighting like they mean it, it's not just him being stuck in a fighting autism rut, I think his fighting style actually gathers power from violence directed at him.Gog trying to beat Jagganoth in an endurance match is a losing battle because Jag incinerating her mass would be powering her up. He said it himself during the contest: Even while everyone was dogpilling him, he was calling out Gog for being weaker than she should be.
>>152987517>I can't see how Jaggy boy can fight this when the time comes.
The Words of Glory and how their bearers inform us of Yisun mind and Allison's journeyGlory- Yisun's glory is a hollow thing to her, inherent and unearned until despair pushed her to rise to itTower- Yisun's challenge, the weight of self crushing even the timeless, a past full of loneliness and in the present she wallows but yearns to break freeFlame- Yisun's desires, vacillating and volatile, alluring but harsh, which will win a desire for life or death Diamond-Yisun's ideal self, the master of all, greatest warrior and wisest lord, hard and fragile at the same timesBlade- Yisun' self hate, the weapon she wields against herselfMind- Yisun' mind is frozen in itself, she's stuck as herself for all eternity and in despair at whatBeast- Yisun's flesh, demanding, commanding, powerful, needy, always growing but remaining the same
>>152993086I always figured Supreme Divine Art was just a form of swordfighting, with him having the Blade word and all. Jantris must have been a pretty good teacher since the mere sight of Jagg pre-keys was enough to make Meti's apprentices crap their pants.
>>152993228Oh yeah, Jantris had the slave-soldiers dehumanising each other while maintaining sufficient military competence to either claim or at least maintain hold of a Key. And his final student was so successful that he, Yaun, went on to surpass him in every single area of proficiency. Jantris was a cruel parent, but an efficient teacher.Anyway, Jag seems to have soloed everything Jantris at the height of his power could throw at him before even attaining his first key (he was after all egging on Maya to go collect the loot for whatever reason) so I just figured Supreme Divine Art was the sword version of Ki Rata: Some utterly bullshit martial art considered scary even by Demiurge standards
>>152993496>he was after all egging on Maya to go collect the loot for whatever reasonI suspect at that point Jag was wary of keys possibly influencing him or perhaps he felt that the flame key was unsuited to his temperament and goals. Besides defeating Jantris and his armies on his own justified not needing one so soon.
>>152992981maybe she needed more meat for gog to assimilate cause yeah those troops went to their deaths accomplishing nothing
>>152993633I wonder what Maya did with Flame other than presumably buff herself. She doesn't seem like the teaching or parasitising type until the start of the comic, and even then only because of her revenge. Maybe she was like Mottom, handing out powerups to retainers as a show of largesse. Except she really thought she was a hero at the time, so it'd be more like knighting a squire. In her eyes, anyway.
