pseudo 2000s cartoon wannabe that probably only releases 1 episode every 8 years because nobody wants it?
I'll check it out sure
>>
>>152987937
Oh wow, I'd completely forgotten about this. Good on them for getting a second episode out. I really dig the aesthetic
>>
>>152988160
it takes them about a year to make an episode, 3 will be out next year
>>
>>152987937
Oh look another thing desperately trying to ape being an "early 2000s" cartoon which of course always means having VERTICES EVERYWHERE in the exact same way as literally everyone else doing that idea. Everyone knows powerpuff girls was the only 2000s cartoon, and UPA is the only early 2000s artstyle.

i want to plap all of them

Honestly, it's so grating. It feels like these artists just base their entire art knowledge on these stylized simplifications because they only want to make cartoons and think studying fundementals is boring and gay, resulting in this hyperexaggerated simulacrum of a simulacrum. It's like the Gen Z equivalent of Millennial kids insisting on drawing only anime.
>>
>>152989517
>Fundamentals
I swear anons just use this as a buzzword to describe something they don't like. I guarantee you that most of these animators are doing life drawing studies. Their art is just unappealing
>>
>>152989624
Can anyone here even name the 6 fundamentals
>>
>>152989517
>hyperexaggerated simulacrum of a simulacrum
Oh my fucking god THIIIIIIIIIIIS! I like to refer to it as "creative inbreeding". Things stop having any root in reality and as such they lose their appeal in becoming style-oriented gibberish. Style is better when there's some mastery underneath it, all these hosers with a drawing tablet can do is miss the forest for the trees.
>>
>>152989741
Isn't anatomy the only fundamental? What the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>152989517
There's some schizo on /r9k/ and /ic/ dedicated to spamming these characters, so I guess the pooner that made them was onto something.

Does anyone here actually know anything about art? Jesus Christ
>>
I wish I could get into this, but I really don't like the dialogue and the simplistic, trope-reliant plot writing. Not a fan of how similar the main characters sound to each other, either.
>>
>>152989805
Not him but I know about color theory and that using texturey brushes for linework is for the weak, if that makes you feel better.

Unironically, where's your cartoon, anons?
Let's share our projects
Show me what you're working on
>>
>>152989741
Form, perspective, composition and color theory is the most I can remember
>>
>>152989867
I'm making one but won't share
I absolutely hate animating, if I had the money to hire an actual crew, I'd never touch an animation software again. I just want to showrunner it. Call it vain and lazy or whatever

>Be me
>Had a cartoon review channel
>Used to nitpick the fuck out of industry and indie work
>Decide to make my own thirty minute cartoon because I felt that I was knowledgeable enough
>It's worse than anything I've ever reviewed
>Also ended up thousands in debt to pay my crew
I genuinely wanna rope at this point.

Not him but I honestly respect you for trying. I know that doesn't mean a lot coming from some jerk on the internet, but I wish I had that kind of drive. I don't think you should rope anon, you had to have ambition to get that far, ambition will get you out.

I'm working on it but so many fucking things have gotten in my way the past few years. It's like the universe doesn't want me to make it.

>>152990004
Honestly don't be too hard on yourself. You can't expect to make something absolutely amazing when you've never made anything before. I'll give you credit for trying and finishing, most people don't have the balls or drive or make something like a 30 minute cartoon.
