This show was mostly unfunny shit but im bored so here im posting the two funniest robot chicken skits i always think about regularly for some reason

When I think of Robot Chicken, I think of that Big Trouble in Little China skit where the guy just says "China is here, Mr. Burton." and Jack just goes "Oh" and it cuts.

It isn't funny, it's so bizarre. Why was it included?
>>
>>152989804
I dunno, that's like half the skits on the show when they aren't just pissing on things that are popular, or falling back on He-Man, Star Wars or DC Comics.
>>
Robot Chicken obviously has a lot of different writers, because some of their shit is brilliant, some of it is fucking retarded, some is brilliantly retarded, some is cluelessly ignorant of what it's parodying.. Some put a ton of thought in, some clearly just hit a deadline and threw shit together
>>
>>152989751
I may not have found most of it funny but I found it enjoyable enough to watch or have on in the background.
>>
>>152989751
>any last words
>I know Jesus has forgiven me
>is that a joke?
>*sniff* noooo
Gets me every time
>>
>>152989751
I cant stand Seth McFarlane.
>>
>>152990011
And I can’t stand *falls out of wheel chair*
>>
>>152989751
This show has God tier original songs. Blue Rabbits, Ballad of Gay Tony, that song when Santa bashes the coca cola employees
>>
>>152989751
Their star wars skits are always good because you can tell they're actually having fun and are invested in the source material they're parodying.

Someone should draw Jesus embracing the Joker.
>>
>>152990085
Plus half of it is Seth McFarlane as Sheev interacting with the actual SW actors.
>>
>>152990067

And Conan's "What Is Best in Life".
>>
>>152989751
RC is a guilty pleasure of mine and I'm still sad they stopped releasing the seasons on Blu-ray. Because stop motion looks great in full HD. HBO Max's bitrates are complete ass
>>
>>152989992
Thats my favorite bit of that sketch too. It comes out of no where and it feels so sincere from joker its so fucking funny too when people genuinely dont believe him.
>>
>>152989751
I love how they almost always get the movie cast for their Scooby Doo sketches even now, last time they did one was last year for that discovery special I think
>>
But this will always be my all time favorite.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpwFim_oVsc
>>
>>152990085
Lucas was a good sport and even voiced himself in those skits.

I thought it was a good show and really liked when they got the original actors to play their characters. I fell off after season 5 though. I think that Seth Green thinks that he has a wider range than he actually does.
>>
Each of their Scooby-Doo skits is a home run.
>>
>>152990219
Yeah, Green's voice becomes a problem imo. Some sketches get insane and have him voice 4+ people at a time. His voice really only fits certain types of characters
>>
I find it hilarious that Public Enemy #1 of Spiderman fans was in charge of season 6.
>>
The starwars specials were their best stuff.
>>
>>152989751
I heard these episodes are animated crazy fast. Like in two weeks a piece. They still make them ahead of time simultaneously though
>>
>Fred: You're kidding, right? I didn't make the cut? ...Did the DOG make the cut?!

Zeb Wells
Directed seasons 5 and 6, was a writer for a really long time even before then. Also created a companion show called Supermansion
>>

Directed 7 and 6 I meant
>>
>>152990296
Ohhhhh isnt that the dude who created paul raban?
>>
>>152990325
Yep
He also co wrote deadpool 3 where Vanessa leaves Wade for a new guy
>>
>>152989751
Apparently this show isn't actually dead, they're making an adult swim special, one of the Aqua Teen creators teased it a few months back
>>
>>152990241
Funny thing is, I don't think they were short on a pool of vocal talent with his connections.
>>
>>152990365

Its just specials now. For as long as Seth feels like.
>>
>>152990371
I love when the co creator voices. I think his name is Matt. His voice acting is so dull that it actually makes it funnier

That makes me chuckle every time.
>>
>>152990067
Anon, how could you not include https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVwe1ru9Hu8 a song they got Weird Al to make for them.
>>
>>152990415
Breckin Meyer was funny too.
>>
>>152990190
Adult swim blu rays are interesting because they always jam all the episodes on one disc. Craziest one was Venture Bros season 4 where they crammed all 16 episodes in. Shockingly it has never really made the video quality suffer too badly
>>
>>152990365
Yah I think I saw something about how they're not going to do full seasons but just the occasional special. The last special they did was mediocre though.
>>
Cool how they got Hamill to do Luke and Joker for the show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3jfbAcsfX8
>>
>>152989751
I fucking love the intro and it would change every couple of seasons to the point where it kinda became a story on its own
>>
This is the skit I always come back to, its the first one I remember vividly.

I know this is insane to say but am I wrong for thinking the majority of sketch comedies are unfunny shit, and adult animation in general and humor if you want to go further on the broad scale of things.

Like I don’t get it, it’s just mindless gore, edge, shock value, all in the name of humor, like SNL recently did a bunch of Christmas skits where the punchline is lol traumatizing gore happens to home alone or Scrooge and a bunch of kids or the grinch, like what the fuck is wrong with these GEN X’ers and Millenials and Gen Z’ers?
>>
>>152989751
I thought their Christmas specials were always hilarious. Same for the Star Wars specials
>>
>>152990525
Fuck that big racing sketch was the first one I ever saw of the show and it's still my favorite
>>
>>152990558
You're over 3 decades late on SNL being watchable
>>
>>152990558
Do you just not have a sense of humor? Also do you unironically only watch shit like bluey or paw patrol?
>>
>>152990427
LINK.
>>
>>152990558

>like SNL recently did a bunch of Christmas skits where the punchline is lol traumatizing gore happens to home alone or Scrooge

That Scrooge one was fucking hilarious.
>>
>>152990371
>>152990241
>That time where they replaced MacFarlane as Santa with Seth Green because he got too busy with The Orville
The Christmas specials stopped being worth watching after that. MacFarlane's delivery was the main thing that made Santa funny

It's called shock humor. Not everyone likes it and that's fine.

He was a production intern on Moral Orel too

>Stop motion as an art form is being carried by The British, Latin America, a failed rapper nepo baby, and Seth Green
I don't know whether to be impressed or saddened
>>
>>152990712
Wait the laika guy was a failed rapper?
>>
>>152990722
Yea, after his rap career went nowhere his daddy got him a job at Will Vinton Studios. He worked for a while, first as a low level employee, then an animator. Soon he and his dad would usurp the company and kick Vinton out
>>
>>152990712
It's incredibly time intensive and therefore expensive so studios won't fund it and newer people to it will pursue other mediums
>>
>>152990751
Wow he was a piece of shit wasnt he?
>>
>>152989751
It's kind of incredible how unfunny Robot Chicken was for how much freedom they were given to do whatever they wanted
>>
>>152990585
Or really it never was lmao.
>>152990586
No retard, infact I find shit like that bad for children and jut retarded slop that’s never good at all, I enjoy real whimsical shit and not mindless violence, >>152990594
>>152990628
See your retarded, you’re the average normie lmao. Nothing is funny about “Heheh LMAO, gore and bloodshed” without even a good joke, it’s just some gratuitous bullshit, fuck you for giving this kind of shit longevity on the net, you normies
>>
>>152990904
> infact I find shit like that bad for children
Oh youre a moralfaggot then
>>
This isn't just one of their best jokes, it's also the best fart joke I've ever seen
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t4e_JPrM7RI&pp=ygUTUm9ib3QgY2hpY2tlbiBrcmFuZw%3D%3D
>>
>You're doing God's work, Skater McGee.
>>
>>152990606
Weirdly enough MacFarlane is going to be making a 4th Orville season. I liked the show but now it's been canceled twice I think
>>
>>152989751
Bro what are you talking about? It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. I'm sad they don't have any new shows
>>
>>152990241
I didn't get why everyone was hating robot chicken until a binged some clips and noticed he has no range whatsoever
>>
>>152990558
SNL is enternally trying to recapture the moment where every home in America laughed at their take on the ending of It's a Wonderful Life.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5YwBbViUBE
This one still makes me giggle
>>
>>152990241
This
There's a reason why family guy only casts him as teenagers
>>
They make the biggest mistake in comedy, no time to breath

Also jokes sometimes feel to tryhard
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqEFy_Fpxoo

What are your thoughts on the Game of Life skit they made for the show?
>>
>>152993788
I think the show falls back on broken home gags way too much.
>>
>>152993788
You can tell this was made pre 2010 when they considered college a good life pathway
>>
>>152991978
You’re so fucking right on that, THAT was good, a bit silly and stupid but good, the modern SNL Christmas stuff? I rather die than watch that pile of crap
>>
>>152994177
I mean dude this is robot chicken, they gotta do the shock cause they think it’s funny
>>
>>152989751
>https://youtu.be/UJ4oXOdZprU?si=IQWWixWl7ZL_VT-q
>"...Or I'm gonna tell everyone what a whiny bitch you were about Padamame, or Panda Bear, or whatever the hell her name is! ...Oh, geez, he's crying..."
Fucking kills me every time.
>>
>>152996417
Isn't always going for the shock punchline what gets people pissed at webcomics? Or is that something people made up as a fake reason to persecute B_U man?
>>
>>152989751
https://youtu.be/WCG3WgYxPkI?si=RKIG_3bRbLiomUCv
Weird how its kinda the plot to toy story 5
>>
>>152990427
>>152990630
Yo wtf. that's cool
>>
>>152989751
Seth [MacFarlane] is hilarious
