If it's a well-written, meaningful death like Dinobot, it can be a defining moment for a show. If it's a "No One is Safe" deal where they just kill somebody for the sake of doing so, that's when it's bad.

Depends. Dinobot is one of those where it was a great dramatic moment that raised the stakes and felt like a genuine loss. Same with Optimus in the original series.

Hate it, for instance she wasnt killed off but i dropped big city greens when they wrote out gloria sato and similarly when they essentially wrote out peridot after the cluster arc in steven universe the show went to shit too
