I think this is just the reality of art as a business. It's really difficult to find talent with lived experience and varied sources of inspiration on top providing enough stability so they can perform at their best.

Prominent toyline characters like Roboto, MEF, or Zodac would make one or two appearances if they were lucky and many others would never show up at all. Transformers and TMNT on the other hand would flip flop between either extreme.
