Which Show is bound to end first?
If a main family Simpsons cast member dies, not just retires but dies while still on the job, would they replace them?
>>153011931TTGO!Then Spongebob.Disney would preemptively kill FG a few seasons before Simpsons goes out
>>153011931Why is simpsons still going i cant imagine how it still garners an audienceAlso im hoping TTG dies first since i hate it the most and its the only one of those four that was never good in the first place
>>153011931Probably Simpsons. Simpsons wasn't even on TV for the past few weeks. Tonight it's another episode of "The Faithful." Once a member of the main cast dies- that's probably it for the Simpsons.
>>153011947>>153012122>>153012190What i hate the most about this is we can never have a proper last episode finale to the simpsons if they keep waiting till literally a main cast member croaks to just suddenly end it. This fucking sucks
>>153011931TTG, it's barely even surviving right now and doesn't really have much of a legacy like the other three. Simpsons might go first if a seriously major cast member kicks the bucket but otherwise TTG.
>>153012216>proper last episode finaleone of the staff said they wouldnt even do a real finale and a last episode would be like just another regular episode which is even more retarded
>>153012096>>153012122>>153012226Yeah there's really not any "prestige" reason to keep TTG around like the other three. It's a spinoff of a better show that only really is remembered for being spammed by CN's schedule and having really inconsistent episode quality. I can't even remember the last time I saw someone reference it in a context that wasn't "how is this still going", it's had no staying power at all. I still regularly see people quoting or making memes out of Spongebob, Family Guy, and The Simpsons, not TTG.
>>153011931TTG is already on its way out. Saying this as someone who'd gladly see any other show gone first. Beast Boy's va is gone, seasons are getting greenlit slower and slower. Spongebob is in a weird middle ground of being the only thing Nick has left while also being made of paper compared to the rest. Simpsons too where I feel like Fox would gladly replace everyone with AI voice actors but also can't possibly be profitable enough to keep going. FG is strong in the stupid kid category of clips getting reposted on tiktok and shorts
>>153011947Might not be worth it to them by the time it happens. I think they’d recast them all at once via a licensing shuffle if they thought they could get away with it. A new lead for a show as big as Simpsons has leverage to negotiate that the surviving and future cast would also take advantage of. The cast is lucky they lived long enough to take preventative measures against the network using their AI likeness.
>>153012262Why are modern simpsons writers trying to makes themselves more hated online with retarded comments like these? Like dont they know everyone thinks the shows worse then ever before and that making dumbass comments like that will only give them more hate?>>153012289>>153012226>>153012311Why the fuck did they keep TTG on for so long anyways and why did they try so damn hard to push it even at the expense of CNs popularity?
>>153012353I genuinely think some exec must have just loved it to the point they didn't care and thought it was the right thing to push because it had to be popular since he liked it. A Pinky Elmyra and the Brain situation but applied to aggressive advertisement instead of forcing a single character into a show. Its very first ad campaign was literally "Your new favorite show" like it was trying to gaslight people into loving it. It'll be interesting to learn what really went down in a few years as more information about that era comes to light.
>>153011931if any of these shows are still running in 5 years there is no god.
>>153012096I guess that makes sense to end Family Guy before the Simpsons. It would be weird to cancel The Simpsons but still have Family Guy in production. Like it would feel disrespectful to The Simpsons because it’s the biggest animated sitcom and it basically inspired all these animated sitcoms.
>The latest Teen Titans Go episode aired on March 14thI thought they quietly cancelled it years ago. Haven't even seen some kid wearing the merch in years now. Who the fuck is still watching it?
>>153012386>genuinely think some exec must have just loved it to the point they didn't care and thought it was the right thing to push because it had to be popular since he liked it. Its very first ad campaign was literally "Your new favorite show" like it was trying to gaslight people into loving it.I have had that same exact theory for years at this point too dude, it was way too artificially pushed for no good reason for it not to be internally favored somehow by CN higher brass or even warner bros themselves ordering CN to prioritize TTG. The way i see it, Cartoon network literally shot themselves in the fucking foot and exacerbated their own impending demise by spamming the shit out of teen titans go and making all their other better cartoons barely air at all, compounded with the fact that the later 2010s era cartoons were just soft infantile garbage shows made the perfect storm that led to the demise of the channel snd the eventual shut down of CN studios. TTG isnt the only reason why cartoon network got killed but its certainly one of the biggest factors that did kill it.
>>153012386>>153012605That ad campaign was immediately weird as fuck to me, it was like nonstop ads telling you that this show was your new favorite show so you'd better watch it.
Teen titans go, not even close
>>153012691I wish, i just wanna see the crew out of a job already
>>153011931Teen Titans Go is like a show for toddlers with bright colors and funny sounds, so they will die first.Family guy now focuses on episodes that try to be funny but end up trying to be profound in a weird way, and why do they always force all the characters to show the palms of their hands whenever they have to say something?.He will be the second.SpongeBob SquarePants is Nickelodeon's chosen one to continue squeezing money out of every kid stupid enough to be a fan of his show, and he will continue to be for a long time.He is the third one.The Simpsons will continue to be the only animated show on Fox/Star until the fateful end of the channel, no matter how outdated, cliché, old-fashioned, or obtuse its sense of humor remains. He will be the last.
>>153011931This is actually a really tough question.Seth seems like he's gotten a second wind after the Ted show, he's doing a Ted animated series and a Stewie spinoff in addition to everything else. I don't think Family Guy is going anywhere.
>>153011931Simpsons can't afford to end anytime soon since they'd run the risk of losing their episode milestone to Family Guy, who comparatively has WAY more left in the tank (younger voice cast, new episodes trend more often, Stewie spin-off, etc.). SpongeBob is def lasting the longest since it already outlived its own creator and continues to be the sole moneymaker for its network. I feel like Teen Titans Go will end the soonest since DC could always reinvent these legacy characters in entirely new series. We've already got that Starfire show in the works for example
>>153011931Genuine predictionSpongebob, but it will quickly be revived.Paramount is drowning in debt. They had to shut down production on every Nick show aside from Spongebob and that Avatar threequel because they literally have no money left. And the WB purchase is only going to make it worse.TTGo MAY bite it first, but both of them are living on norrowed time. While Spongebob will inevitably be revived by whoever picks up the pieces, TTGO is a lot less clear.
>>153016171>Paramount is drowning in debt. They had to shut down production on every Nick show aside from Spongebob and that Avatar threequel because they literally have no money left. And the WB purchase is only going to make it worse. Why the fuck is paramount even buying WB if paramounts already in debt and clearly cant afford to buy WB? It seems like financial and corporate suicide from my perspective.
TTGO! > Spongebob >Family guy> SimpsonsIf seth dies, then Family Guy dies with him
>>153012190The season is over anon it's not coming back until the Fall. All the Fox shows have 15 episode seasons now (the simpsons gets more but the extras go to D+. If anything the bible show is getting in the way of the new season of FG and American Dad>>153016171But this is correct.
>>153016214The new owner of Paramount is a nepobaby and failed actor. He wants in to showbiz, and he thinks, Why bother building a presence when he can just buy one?And that's why he spent more on WB than Disney spent on Hulu, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Fox, combined, money he doesn't have. He's assuming someone will just bail him out.
>>153011931The answer lies in who kicks the bucket first: CN, Nickelodeon, or Disney.
>TTG voice cast is mid-40s to mid-50s>Family Guy voice cast is early-40s to early-60s>Spongebob voice cast is late-50s to mid-70s (mid-80s if you count Mrs. Puff)>Simpsons voice cast is early-60s to early-80sLike said early, TTG is the least "legacy" of all of these, so it's probably a race between a Simpsons cast member dying and Paramount finally pulling the plug.
This thread is honestly just making me realize how little of an impact TTG's had for a show that's been out for this long with this many episodes. I don't think I've heard a single thing about it since the movie came out.
>>153016661>check Wikipedia>movie was 8 years ago>episode count is up to nearly 450Jesus Christ...
>>153012353>Why the fuck did they keep TTG on for so long anyways and why did they try so damn hard to push it even at the expense of CNs popularity?I honestly get the feeling that around ~2019 Cartoon Network wanted to switch to Gumball being their premier show, but couldn't due to the fact that the creator of Gumball decided to end the show with Season 6.I think at some point they just told Ben Bocquelet they were gonna countinue Gumball with or without him, which convinced him to join the revival.
How the fuck if TTG still getting new episodes if even kids don’t give a fuck about it, is it really that cheap?
Family Guy is so popular, Fox has to keep making the Orville or Seth will quit
>>153016697Anon that's still 6 years of aggressive promotion and schedule spamming while watching the network's ratings slide into the gutter. Even if they did change it to Gumball it already would have been too late and it's still bizarre they even did it for that long.
There is a realistic chance that a major cast member on the Simpsons is going to die within the next 5 years. They'll recast them but fan interest will be cut in half just like with Rick and Morty.
>>153016039>I feel like Teen Titans Go will end the soonest since DC could always reinvent these legacy characters in entirely new series. We've already got that Starfire show in the works for exampleI'm surprised DC/Warner haven't tried to push another Teen Titans cartoon that's actually a close adaptations of the comics. Like they do with TMNT constantly getting reinvented. I guess TTGO! has just lasted so long it made it impossible.Granted, there are some things about the comics that are too 80s/not kid friendly to be adapted, but there is some stuff they can certainly do:>Starfire as a violent warrior rather than a naive bubbly alien>Beast Boy as a depressed casanova rather than just Michelangelo>Deathstroke as a mercenary>Terra as more obviously sociopathic>Show Dick Grayson becoming Nightwing>Raven as a withdrawn empath>Include Donna TroyIt's kinda bizarre that Warner/DC have kept the Murakami iteration of the Teen Titans going for 2 decades when it really doesn't resemble the way the Titans are/were in the source material much.
>>153016510>The new owner of Paramount is a nepobaby and failed actor. He wants in to showbiz, and he thinks, Why bother building a presence when he can just buy one?>And that's why he spent more on WB than Disney spent on Hulu, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Fox, combined, money he doesn't have. He's assuming someone will just bail him out.Man i REALLY am gonna enjoy hearing about how this faggot shot his brains out in the news because he bankrupted not one but TWO historical old hollywood studios due to sheer ego tripping and stupidity.
>>153011931Anybody thinking The Simpsons or SpongeBob will ever actually die is just deluding themselves.
>>153017863This. Rick and Morty already set the precedent of recasting main character roles in long-running hit cartoons. Why wouldn't Simpsons simply do the same?
