it was a nice ending from a Genndy show at long last. not 100% on board about regenerated Spear looking very different to how he used to, but the man's happy again so I won't complain

Ending is a little fan servicey, a better writer would probably reconcile with Spear being brought from the dead and the natural order being defied. But Genndy plays to his strengths, which are simple, powerful emotions and pure visual storytelling. It was incredibly gratifying to see the story stripped down and pls purely on mood again. It’s a satisfying conclusion, maybe I’ve been too used to the “FUCKING GENNDY” endings and was expecting a crazy outcome like season 2 had.

Genndy got his groove back.

I'm not afraid of characters dying. I thought it was pretty cowardly to bring back a character you killed just because people complained for no getting their wholesome chungus ending. Season 1 remains king
