I’m going to guess it lobotomized Torment and possessed his shell at the end of Spiral. It didn’t take him as an actual host because he lost to Spider-Carnage, but Peter resists too much to be a good host. This is in effect giving it the ability to not even need a host it had a few years ago.

I keep seeing this image get posted, but how the heck does Marvel Rivals taking a pot-shot at OMD, and then Dylan playing as Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals, make Paul into "Mephisto's lapdog"????

Don't get me wrong, I hate Paul. But I hate Paul for who he actually is, rather than some schizo-post that doesn't even make sense.
