Worse than Home on the Range
>>153022652There's a perfect explaination for the reason Jannies here don't take down your shit alongside your "protege".
>>153022652So good movie?
>>153022652OP, why can't you just get over your autistic hatred for these shows over the most trivial shit?
>>153023278Those are movies
>>153023278That and the fact that Jannies can't take down these kinds of threads while they seem to be allergic to Teacher's Pet threads. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/153023131/There's two of them, both deleted in just one post. I even called out this behavior. Why delete a Teacher's Pet thread that got posted twice and not this thread and the Tusker thread?
>>153022753Probably because it's an on topic discussion of a cartoon? >>153022652Unironically. I wanted to like it because I'm a big Looney Tunes and 2D fan plus I know someone who worked on the movie but it just wasn't it. I love when they do these original story movies and wish there were more of them but the whole way they've handled the Looney Tunes revival has really rubbed me the wrong way. It's like everyone is a poser that doesn't actually like or know anything about Looney Tunes and it's just a parody of things they've heard other people say about them while also thinking there's something "wrong" with the originals and wanting to "fix it." They also do this obnoxious thing where they're doing an obvious Spumco send up and act like they're doing an homage to classic cartoonists. It's like someone convinced them as long as they say the words "Bob Clampett" it's like a secret security token that instantly authenticates them as "real fans" who "do it the right way" even though nothing they do is remotely similar to Clampett and he's not like the Walt Disney of Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies anyways and there's a whole host of people they could be drawing inspiration from. I'd much rather see something like "Mr. and Mrs. is the Name" or "Honeymoon Hotel" than some Ren & Stimpy-esque "look a butt! Now here's a closeup of a hyper detailed face that's supposed to look gross! Hahahaha! Comedy!" crap that they like doing. I think part of the problem is you have to have a genuine affection for the 30's-40's to even get the vibe of Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies because that's what they were birthed from. You can't come in with this hyper modern "let's kill the past" mindset and make something that doesn't feel drastically off brand. Add to that how irony poisoned and humorless most Hollywood types are and it's no wonder they struggle with someone so genuine, whimsical, and funny.
>>153022652Shit bait, try harder
>>153023577Oh my God. You're guy aren't you?!
>>153023362cat was too sexo
>>153023601No, Guy loves this movie.>>153023577I agree with you. I wasn't as disappointed in this film as you were, I felt this film was a very solid first step for a legitimate, non-anthology Looney Tunes film. But it's just that: a first step. Ideally WB would use this film as the template to make tons of Looney Tunes movies: improving upon every past attempt, studying the staff's work, pulling from the inspirations that made Looney Tunes novel. But what that would most likely lead to is stagnation and regurgitation, which led to an unchanging four-year run of an okay show instead of an experimental four-year run of an amazing show.(Not that most audiences would care, TDTEBU is vastly more sincere to these characters than something like Space Jam or Loonatics Unleashed.)
