What's the /co/nsensus on pic related? Crooked Man is easily one of my favourite standalone Hellboy stories, so I was pretty excited about the adaptation, but I've heard mostly negative reviews. Then again most of them seemed to focus on low production value, which is not something I care about all that muchAlso Hellboy thread I suppose, for anyone who feels like having one
>>153026938i liked the spider scene in the crate. everything else just felt silly but not comic book silly or good silly. just silly as in shitty and silly
>>153026938Pretty terrible. Maybe not as terrible as the last reboot but still pretty bad.
>>153026938Not worth remembering.
>>153026938#whywasHellboyeventhere
>>153026938quick question. does heavenboy variant exist...?
>>153029447hrllboy isnt really a "hellboy" hes just a key to a lovecraftian mythology of a space octodagon that was condemned by some ancient pre humans
>>153029469>love>crafthnggggg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudynDpyzxc>we will never get this level of kino again
>>153026938I thought it was good, but it's definitely not what people who liked the first two movies wanted. It's horror and investigation, not superhero action, and Hellboy is more like his comic book personality than the Del Toro version. The budget's low, and it's not without some warts, but it's a pretty good adaptation.
>>153030217The Del Taco movies had great visuals and makeup but as a guy that loved the comics before it the plots were complete ass and he ruined the characters.
>>153026938s'okay
>>153026938Was there another Hellboy movie?!
>>153026938I like it, but secondaries and normies won't be able to look past the lower budget despite it being a kino and accurate
>>153032455Yes, an adaptation of the crooked man story
>>153026938Better than I expected, but it’s still a lost down because of the budget. The tail is really bad.
>>1530324552 live action movies by del toro with ron pearlman2 animated movies1 live action movie (the 2019 one with milla jovovich)1 live action movie (the one in the OP)
>>153026938Meh. It was generally a pretty faithful adaptation, but the camera work and acting were subpar, and nothing really stands out. I get it was low budget, but it needed people with more talent/experience to turn it into something decent. That said, it was fine enough that I wouldn't have been against a sequel where they hopefully could've done better; but it obviously just kinda came and went.
>>153029447yes, his name is Roger.
It meh, They cutout all the best parts form the comic.
