Why does Snoy love to cut out half of the frames from all their movies now? Spiderverse has this problem and now GOAT as well.
>>153028890It's their "style".One that other companies are trying to ape off of. A few of my friends and I sat down and watched KPop and one of the things we mocked WAS the frame-skipped animation. There's a lot of moments that easily could have been either done on 1s, or simply timed to be snappier without looking off.
>>153028890just wait until star guardians and kda gets released and these k-pops will be send to the stratosphere
>>153028890>Spiderverse has this problemSpiderverse did it intentionally to make every frame seem like a comic book panel, and they animated Miles on 1s while animating the rest of the Spiders on 2s to emphasize his inexperience and them not belonging in his dimension.Every other movie does it now because it's cheap and they want to cash in on the trend, even though it does nothing for the movies themselves.
>>153029031Nobody but greasy fat fucks knows who the fuck KDA is
>>153029031>ASSFAGGOTSDon't you have enough of this shit after BLACKEDCANE?
>>153029277>>153029292Remember my word. After welcome to Noxus, the aka arcane sequel, Ahri , Kaisa, Seraphine and Akali will absolute beat Zoey at rap battle
>>153028890Choppy animation can work but it really does annoy me that so many movies seem to be doing it more because it is trendy instead of actually utilizing it in good moments. The Last Wish comes to mind were they tried to use it during action scenes. Some of them look great like both fights with Death, but then other instances it just takes me out of it. The fight with all the Bakers I remember it looked pretty bad with the pacing and tone not matching the choppiness.
>>153028890>Problem Animating on 2s isn't a problem it's a solutionKPDH doesn't even just animate on 2s. They change individual characters' framerates for effect.
>>153029143>Spider-verse is ok because they did (exact same thing k pop did with saja boys)Y'all are just mad a movie for girls got popular aren't you
>>153028890trying to mimic 2d animation
>>153029903>The Last Wish comes to mind were they tried to use it during action scenesthe fight against the giant looked bad in cinemas
it looks like pure shit, and is just throwing out one of them major advantages of computer animation for no reason, that you can have a whole movie in full framerate.hand-drawn animation can still look smooth on 2's or 3's, because the animators put in transitions, smears, squash and stretches by hand to make it look smooth. but artificially capped framerate just looks like ass and it makes me want to vomit. I can't watch any of these movies.every film is digital now, these modern cinema projectors are all capable of at least 144hz. there is no reason for a computer animated movie not to be 60fps.
>>153031467>hand-drawn animation can still look smooth on 2's or 3's, because the animators put in transitions, smears, squash and stretches by hand to make it look smooth. but artificially capped framerateAnon you are a fucking retardDigital animation on 2s is not done by auto-interpolating a movement curve and then slashing the framerate. The characters are posed per-frame with the exact smears and effects you're pretending don't exist. You are blind and retarded. Never comment on animation quality ever again.
>>153029855The Noxus tease was for the new LOL seasons mode retard. The story of Nexus was already told there. There's no show sequel.

>>153031916>>153031901Fucking hideous.Interp barely works on things with smooth motion curves, of course it looks like dogshit on something individually posed at 12fpsDo you people actually think these 60fps videos look good?
>>153031732it still looks like shit while hand drawn animation doesn't
>>153032308
>>153032265no, but it's the closest we get to seeing what it looks like at a higher framerate until someone at sony manually adds in actual inbetweens
>>153032316well how else are we supposed to see a higher framerate kpop demon hunters could look like unless we pay the animators at sony a few million to add them in for us?
>>153032312It is hand drawn. Each frame is individually posed with hand-warped models and hand-placed 2D effects. It's not 2003. They don't animate by using smooth motion interpolation between keyposes like a fucking video game.>>153032321>>153032308>>153032334>duhhh just add more inbetweens!Every single effect and pose done on 2s is targeted and timed to look good on 2s. You cannot just fucking insert new inbetweens, that will look like shit whether you do it with a robot or a person. Animation on 2s works differently from animation on 1s, especially with the added effects they use to simulate 2D animation techniques. The movie would have to be completely re-animated from the ground up.
>>153032360ok ok i get it, you can't just add inbetweens. i just wanted to find a comparison to what a higher framerate kpop demon hunters could look like and it's the closest i could find. obviously anons would be able to appreciate the stylisation of the originals when compared to those interpolated videos, that's why i got those two together
>>153032360Why are you so angry when explaining things?
>>153032401>what a higher framerate kpop demon hunters could look likebut that's the thing, anonthe movie entirely on 1s (24fps) or at a higher-than-cinematic framerate wouldn't just look a little different or smoother. It would be 100% entirely different because all of the techniques and timing would have to be radically altered. I'm not sure you appreciate just how much work your brain does to fill in the gaps at lower framerates and how a much higher framerate dramatically changes that processing.>>153032409Because this is 4chan. Being angry while telling people they're wrong is the only good reason to be here.
>>153032430>the closest I could findthe next closest would be ai slop that recreates the movie at a higher framerate but people would want to look at that even less than an interpolated thing
>>153032360that anon's point is that even if it's hand animated, the low framerate looks like shit with 3d cgi animation
>>153032546Declaring that all 3D animation done on 2's looks bad is just ignant. I don't particularly care about the unsupported opinion of someone that values raw FPS in animation.
i like Arcane's animationhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JUO-idpH3s
in ten years we're going to have american animation that just does lip-flaps on still models like cheap seasonal animation, and it will be hailed as "innovation"
SEAL Team did this to cut costs. It was a fine action come in the vein of Hot Shots.
Maybe it feels less sloppa in that way
>>153032848This but it will be due to the economic constraint from the utter collapse of the entire american economy including the creative entertainment animation career path and quality-control institutional knowledge. Everything will be shat out by hopeless amateurs without even the conception of a best-practice much less training or skill.
>>153032430they'd have to change things, or a lot of things, but they don't need to reanimate the entire movie and it wouldn't need to be 100% entirely different.e.g. normal scenes like this wouldn't be as impactedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdeiG8OucKkit is entirely possible to add more frames to a 12fps animation to make a 24fps animation it still looks okayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MRDWFzOXe4
>>153032883>they don't need to reanimate the entire movie and it wouldn't need to be 100% entirely differentYou're just wrong my guy. You don't know anything about animation.
>>153032932how about you? have you animated on a film before?
>>153032265Indeed. I never thought I could get car sick while not in a car, but here we are.
>>153032932apart from that one cartoony part near the end of the conversation, explain what techniques and timings they'd have to change in that talking scenes and why they can't reuse certain keyframes then. 23 seconds in, mira would begin with her mouth closed, then go into an o shape when she says "i know". that'd be happening at the same time whether it was 12 or 24 fps.
>>153032945>WELL DID YOU ANIMATE THE MOVIElmaoListen, kid. I'm triple your age. I have internal art from a bunch of different 2D and 3D animation projects on my drive (the artists make a lot of personal shit for themselves and their friends, the Archer crew really loved making DBZ fights).None of that is relevant to you making a fool of yourself by repeatedly insisting that just slapping inbetweens on the existing movie would be an acceptable solution. That walk cycle you posted is literally built from the ground up to handle all three framerates as a perfectly smooth and linear animation and all three look like shit because of it. It doesn't take an industry insider to suss out that you have zero understanding of the most basic principles of animation.>>153032994>BRO NOT LITERALLY EVERY FRAME SOMETIMES THEY'RE STILLGod damn you're stupid
>>153028890Speaking of KPDH, McDonalds just released some new commercials with them:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dty0GTHa8mwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6a7ZHiVZwLc
>>153033004i'm bored and you yap a lot because you're knowledgable, so why don't you explain more.If someone begins throwing a ball at frame zero, and lets it go at frame 8, what stuff would you change if it was only 12 fps vs 24 fps?
>>153033093i mean not frame 8, at like, let's say 0.8 seconds in.
>>153033093>teach me, professor!Pay me, student.
>>153033108i don't pay people on 4chan
>>153032848It'll be a cold day in hell if Syncro-Vox ever comes back in earnest
>>153033108But if you don't explain, how can the anons of 4chan ever believe that it will look like shit if you put in more frames inbetween existent keyframes?
