So if I'm understanding the latest episode correctly:1. Caine was actually functioning as intended in the beginning part of the episode. Their goal was to create an AI that could be creative and Caine was exactly that, as Caine started spitting out original shapes instead of the pre-existing material he was trained on.2. Abel was originally going to be the next step of the project since they wrapped up Caine as a prototype and improved on that foundation, however they did not know they created a semi-sentient AI that didn't like being tossed aside.3. Abel's model only went through a single round of training, and thus wasn't capable of thinking creatively and just spat out already existing material. Abel on its own never reached sentience.4. Caine "eats" Abel, taking on the improvements made to Abel's code and taking in its training dataset into himself.5. Since Abel never reached the point of creativity and basically specialized in creating pre-existing, grounded imagery, when Cain eats Abel, Caine learns to use his creativity to create more grounded imagery using his own building blocks. (The Circus he made out of his original shapes.)
