The Thunderbolts. The greatest team to ever team.
>>153030155Trash.
>>153030155Bagley is really a good costume designer. Only fail here is Meteorite. If Songbird ever gets adapted in the MCU, I wonder if he and Busiek will get some royalties even though they didn't create Screaming Mimi
>>153030538Terrible art, though
>>153030542Nah. His faces are sometimes lacking (especially in Ultimate Spider-Man) but his art is really dynamic. A nice fit for cape comics.
>>153030538Busiek claims Songbird in his list of characters he created for Marvel even though he notes he didn't created Screaming Mimi, while he doesn't for the rest of the team .No idea if it would hold up.
>>153032063Before Thunderbolts, Screaming Mimi only had a few appearances, an entirely different costume, a not particularly detailed personality and no backstory so I believe Busiek does deserve the bulk of the credit for Songbird.
>>153030538The Meteorite costume was simplified fairly quickly IIRC.
>>153030568It's not very dynamic. This fight was boring as fuck.
>>153032735No
>>153030155Toytastic.
>>153030155Do you think Kurt Busiek was disgusted with the MCU film?
>>153030155>if this was done today some asshole would have leaked the last page weeks in advanceMan, it really was a different age. I miss Moonstone. >>153030538Marvel writers apparently get peanuts for anything adapted into the mcu to the point minor things adapted into DC movies give them more royalties.
>>153032802It was really baffling that they didn't use the OG Thunderbolts story line since it would have fit perfectly between Infinity War and Endgame. Marvel doesn't really do short VN which are perfect for adapting to movies, so why would Disney refuse to use unique and relatively self-contained story like supervillains starting a hero scam to fill a vacuum and finding they like being heroes?
Zemobolts was such an interesting concept it's tragic that they just became a cheap suicide squad knock off
>>153034529Unfortunately, most writers have forgotten the whole core concept. Norman's Tbolts kind of ruined the whole thing since it led to the whole suicide squad set up.Then Marvel tried to make them Bucky's team, which is eh.
>>153030155the greatest team ever to team were the 2005 Minnesota Vikings, just ask your mom
>>153032806If they're WGA they get a writer credit and anything else they bothered to negotiate at contract time (nothing, they didn't bother). Bear in mind Alan Moore gets lots for his creations because he bothered to negotiate at contract time. He just doesn't want the adaptations to be made. The DC contract was renegotiated in the early 1980s to include royalties (for reprint, but presumably at this time also for adaptation); some prior works are also included, like Fourth World, because their creators came back and worked on them again under the new contract, which grandfathered the previous works into the new terms. I don't think anybody's getting rich off it tho. Again, if they're WGA they get a writer credit, otherwise they get an adapted from credit or a Thanks.
>>153034529Ellis, Gage, Diggle, and Parker did just fine. The title lost its purpose and interest when it became Frankbolts, Buckybolts, Synergybolts.
>>153030524says you
>>153030538It's a shame he redesigns for USM were so shit
>>153034529I miss Abe
