Why it aged better than most of the reboots?
>>153031516It didn't. It's a huge pile of interesting subplots that don't go anywhere and constant treasure hunts with the most boring, stick in the mud Optimus possible. The animation direction is also pretty bad, with characters making pointless dynamic poses when shooting shooting while standing in the open or jumping around empty spaces and everything being stuck in limbo, where points of reference and interactions with the surrounding area and/or characters rarely matter. Most fights are a CGI equivalent of jingling the keys to keep your attention. It's a mess.The only actually good things about it are the Decepticons, who are almost universally great (with notable exception of the most boring Soundwave ever, who for some reason gets hyped for not talking and being a walking plot device with zero personality), Ratchet and Arcee.

If anything I think Armada is the best aged and best regarded at this point, low key. Yes the dub was a rushed mess, but people have come around to recognizing it as a solid series that manages to follow through on it's plot linesThe only thing that keeps Prime aging decent is that it's the last series that was semi mature while also having quality visuals, and Hasbro's been cheap as fuck ever since.

Posting this here because I don't want to make a new thread. What are your thoughts about this korean TF knock-off? For a show aimed at primary school kids it's as good as can be imo, my only nitpick is that the names of the robots have 0 charisma(even the gobots had more memorable names) yes it's the show of the fembot with thunder thighs

It's easy to notice if you ignore their guns/wings/misc. spikey parts. Megatron and Optimus are flat out beefcakes with their larger upper bodies and big arms. Starscream is petty, skinny, and wears high heels, which doesn't further elaboration. And Arcee has clearly defined hips, high heeled boots, and an exposed midriff that stops riiight at the top of her butt. There's a faint but undeniable sensuality to her design and mannerisms. Like it's easy to buy that at one time she was a regular fembot living a chill life on Cybertron until it all went to shit. She's got god knows how many years of suffering layered on top of her, and built all of these mental self defense mechanisms, but underneath it all you get these little glimpses of who she was and how she acted before.Oh yeah, and she constantly teases her human male partner after initially being cold towards him and developing a friendship with him.
