Anyone else use cartoons to study different languages?If so what cartoons and what language are you studying?
I wish foreign dubs had subtitles that were retranslated instead of just the original English subs. There's no way they're saying the exact same thing, don't lie to me.

I read a bunch of French comics and watched a bunch of French cartoons when learning French. The fact that they actually have such a big native comics and cartoons industry with stuff that largely isn't translated just gave me more motivation to learn, and the comics were a particularly good early resource because the broken up bubbles allowed me to study what was being said in smaller snippets. It's not the be-all end-all of studying a new language obviously but it can genuinely help if you really immerse yourself.
