Tomorrow, April 1st, marks 20 years since The Baby-Sitters Club (1986-2000) went from youth novels to graphic novels (2006-onward), which have arguably been more popular than the originals.To celebrate (doing it today cuz I know this site celebrates April Fools), I'm doing a storytime of that original comic. The first four were done by none other than one of the great modern cartoonists, Raina Telgemeier, best known for Smile and Drama. Not to mention September, we're finally getting a FIFTH Raina BSC comic!I'm excited to share this with you!

Some guy wrote a book about it, forgot his name. Also, something about the art in this comic here is really fun, lots of fun expression, good negative space and cartoony poses/expressions. I really don't know what went wrong with the cartoonists club.

>>153042267There's really not a lot of Rule34 of the Baby Sitters Club comics. Pic related is my favorite of the graphic novels. Boy Crazy Stacey. I liked the beach setting and seeing the swimsuits. My favorite characters are Mary Anne and Stacy.

>>153036926I know the original deal was for Raina to do 4 volumes but seeing how the gap between the last book she did (printed in 2008) and the relaunch in 2015, I think it's fairly safe to assume her hitting it big with Smile was what influenced the reprints and follow-ups even if she wasn't the artist anymore
