What was the first proper meeting of General Zod and Superman in comics? Googling only shows when he first met Superboy
>>153037499I'm not sure.
Since Superboy was young Superman that was their first meeting.
>>153037499>>153039047ditto. superman first met zod while he was still superboy (not long after he first discovered the phantom zone projector).as for post-crisis... i'm not entirely sure. i'm willing to bet there were multiple (the only one i can think of off the top of my head is when post-crisis superman met pocket universe zod, but that's not really the same)
>>153039196Post-Crisis Zod is fucking confusing as fuck. There was Byrne era Zod, a Zod during the Loeb/Kelly/Casey era, a Zod in For Tomorrow, a Zod in the Johns/Busiek era, and then a Zod in the Rebirth era. None of them seem to be the same version of the other
>>153039196>as for post-crisis... i'm not entirely sure. i'm willing to bet there were multipleThere were multiple yeah. The first proper post-crisis Zod was in the Johns run, the whole Chris Kent storyline.Actually, I think that's still their canon first encounter. His New 52 debut seems to have been retconned after Rebirth.
>>153037499According to >https://www.comics.org/story_by_character/General%20Zod/sort/chrono/Zod was introduced in Action comics 297 (1963) but that's a Supergirl story.Superman appears in Action comics 298 but he doesn't meet Zod since a forcefield is blocking Supes from the present day.Their first face-to-face occurs in Superman 162 (still 1963) but that's the "imaginary" Tale of Superman-Red and Superman-Blue.Action 297 is also the death of Lesla-Lar, much sexier than the impostor currently in Supergirl.
>>153040453very nice work
>>153040453It is surprising how many Kryptonian psycho bitches the silver age had, Faora was something else.
