Begins in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man universe. He is fighting Deadpool and Wolverine. Their universes are colliding, and Deadpool and Wolverine were sent there with a device built by Beast that will destroy Spider-Man’s world and initiate a chain reaction that will destroy his entire universe and save theirs. Wolverine stays behind when it detonates, and both he and Spider-Man – along with everyone on that universe – are killed. Deadpool escapes and returns to his own Earth. Professor Charles Xavier watches the destroyed world with sadness, but they had no choice.Cut to Tony Stark’s funeral. Steve Rogers leaves to return the Infinity Stones. He chooses to go back in time to stay with Peggy Carter. They have a son, Jim. One day, Loki visits them – this is before the show’s season 2 finale. He tells Steve about the TVA and warns him that they will soon prune this timeline because Steve was never meant to live there or have a son. Loki offers them a way out: he can take them to a universe where they don’t exist and can live in peace – the Fantastic Four’s universe. Before leaving, Loki gives Steve a special card to contact him. Steve and his family live there for ten years.In the present day, Doctor Doom visits Sue Storm and Franklin Richards. They already know each other. Doom says he has come to speak with Reed Richards. He warns him about the incursions and reveals their universe is next. He proposes a plan - but they must travel with him to Earth-616. Doom also asks Reed whether it is possible someone from another universe is living in theirs. They scan the planet and find Steve and his family. They confront Steve, who recognizes them after living there for a decade. They explain the incursions and ask him to come to Earth-616 to help convince the Avengers to trust Doom. They travel there, recruit Thor and arrive on Earth, where Steve successfully persuades the heroes to listen.
The Avengers and the Fantastic Four visit the X-Men’s universe – but the X-Men are hostile. They have survived multiple incursions and trust no one. They assume the Avengers have come to destroy them and attack before the Fantastic Four stop the battle. Reed and Doom explain their solution: to build massive cannons on each earth that will permanently separate the universes and stop the incursions. They will split into teams and each one will go to another Earth to place a cannon there.Meanwhile, Steve tells Thor he met Loki. Thor asks Steve to see him. Using Loki’s card, they locate the TVA – but when they arrive, everyone is dead and Loki has had his heart ripped out. They realize Doom is responsible. Steve goes back to confront Doom, who reveals his true plan: to allow the incursions to happen so he can create a singular timeline in his own image and resurrect his dead family. He takes Steve to his castle in Latveria in his universe. There, Steve meets Doom’s masked followers. One of them impersonates Peggy to manipulate him, but he resists her.Doom reveals that Steve’s presence in their universe is what triggered the incursions, because he didn’t belong there. It also led to the death of Doom’s family: Doom became obsessed with stopping the incursions, conducting dangerous experiments – one of which failed, killing his family and leaving him disfigured, forcing him to wear the armor and mask. As revenge, Doom kills Steve’s son in front of him. Meanwhile, Thor rallies the Avengers, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to stop Doom.
Doom announces that the Avengers are coming, and Latveria prepares for war. The heroes unite and march on Latveria. Thor prays to Odin, who sends an army from Valhalla to join the battle. A massive battle erupts as the Earths begin to collide. Eventually, the universes crash into each other and are destroyed – killing everyone except Doom, who has stolen Loki’s power. Doom creates Battleworld, revives everyone – including Spider-Man and Wolverine – and erases their memories. They believe Battleworld is all that has ever existed and that they are loyal servants of Doom. Doom sits on his throne as the Emperor of Battleworld. The end.Assorted leaks>Doctor Doom wears his mask for the entire movie and his face is only seen in flashbacks about his accident. None of the heroes learn he looks like Tony Stark.>The X-Men not featured in the movie are said to have died in past incursions.>Sue Storm asks Namor for help and he agrees because he becomes attracted to her.>Professor Xavier helps Bob overcome his demons and become the Sentry without turning into the Void. The Sentry then literally holds the colliding Earths together while the heroes fight Doom.>Doom’s followers were played by stand-ins, but Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch appear to be among them, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen expected to film their scenes during reshoots.>Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau won’t be in the movie, unless they’re added in reshoots.>Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang and America Chavez reportedly have cameos ahead of bigger roles in Avengers: Secret Wars.
