Wow, this sucked.The story decompressed as hell and the art is some uncanny faux-cinematic eyesore.It's six issues of people sitting around and talking (with some "realistic" faces that barely convey any emotion) broken up by two action sequences with the main villain who's just a dude in a shirt. Who is effortlessly defeated after Tony gets his extremis high on.This is the definitive modern Iron Man story?

>>153039184Yeah, it sucks and is entirely carried by the art, and it was even worse reading it in the original release where it took over a year for all six issues to be published.But it's the officially designated 'definitive modern Iron Man story', the revision of the origin within it influenced the movie (and the armor from this story influenced the movies), it's the one Iron Man solo story comic-casuals know, so we're stuck with it as the one Iron Man story Marvel will keep on pushing.
