The DnA run of "Nova" spinning out of Annihilation ran for 36 issues. That was an achievement for the 2000s

Loeb's half toyetic / half dead-son psychoses "Kid Nova" just never worked. It was trying to be a Disney pitch before Kevin Feige or James Gunn were ever interested.

Marvel pretty much nuked all the hype built up for the Cosmic line as a result of DnA's work in a shameless desire to ride the synergy wave.

By the time Imperial rolled around, the type of old-school cosmic fans that would have cared had already been burned too many times by marvel's short sighted economic bait and switches, and the launch died before ever climbing out of the crib
