>>153050340The short of it is that magic is tapping into energy born of cosmic friction that came about during the 5th Cosmos.While their are a bunch of ways of tapping into this force the most common way of using it is taking the already made framework and spells a god or some such already created and just using their stuff. Outside of that its all really just about creating or utilizing a framework for manipulating the energy that plays nice with reality and intuiting your way through it, based on reasonings like "thematic and narrative constructs are really good at utilizing magic" or "the cosmos is a thing and I can manipulate the natural forces therein".
