And his ex and sons will celebrate when he gets killed to save them
I have never watched the show so this statement in isolation is pretty funny about some bum dad
>>153050856i mean...he has remorse and he is not a bot so...i dont know if you are correct. Conq is better imo because he doesn't even believe in the cause he was forced into anymore. It's sunk cost fallacy
>>153050856>Saved the world for decades from aliens, inter dimensional conquerors, literal reality warping monsters>Has one bad day and now he’s irredeemable Maybe humanity doesn’t deserve to be saved… Maybe human life isn’t worth it if humanity is going to be that ungrateful…
>>153050856He murdered a lot of people, but in fairness he also saved the planet a few times, so I'd say his credit gives him another chance. He's more redeemable than Vegeta ever was.
>>153050856The zeitgeist is turning against restorative justice "anyone can be redeemed" nonsense, and the show's poor writing is not helping its case
Over 20 years of being a hero he would have saved far more lives than the amount he took, so it balances out.
I get Debbie's reaction but Mark's continued angsting and whining about his dad is really starting to be grating, especially considering he was gonna leave Oliver and Thaxans to die all while blaming Nolan for their doom
>>153051501Probably shouldn't have changed the fight with Mark.
>>153050856Nolan has been REDEEMED and every second Debbie does not accept this is another decade she will spend in Hell for her transgressions
>>153051501Fuck you, Vegeta's arc in Dragon Ball owns. Much better than watching Nolan changing and his douchebag son continuing to shit on him even when he's going against the Viltrumites
>>153050856I like Nolan as a character, but he killed his closest friends, killed thousands of people, almost killed his son, cheated on his wife and abandoned his sons.I'm not sure why he or anyone would think he would be forgiven.
>>153050856I haven't been keeping up with the show. Guessing it hasn't gotten to the time travel bit yet.
>>153051371afaik vegeta never asked for forgiveness for all the shit he did. he kinda just kept hanging out on earth with most other characters only barely tolerating him because they have to. the closest thing you get is when he asks what will happen to him in the afterlife, almost like as a plea for forgiveness since is trying to redeem himself a tiny bit, and piccolo reminds him on what he already knows and that he's basically going to hell for all the lives he's destroyed.desu i think vegeta is a really well written reformed villain character since there's never pressure on the audience to "forgive" him like with nolan. i dislike nolan since they're trying to make him super sympathetic when he really isn't. i guess it's intentional but idk it feels off
>>153051989also i should say that vegeta's character falls apart in later works. his arc only works up until the buu arc, kinda how goku's arc only really works up until namek
>>153050856You lost, tranny. The show would not validate your family issues and your decision to stop talking with your dad.
>>153051947Vegeta also killed a shit ton of people yet when he actually changes they don't keep shitting on him. In fact I'm pretty sure people cheer for him when Dende talks about how much Vegeta's changed for the better in Battle of Gods.
>>153050856I like a good hate but this is getting masturbatory.
I think that scene with Art was pretty stupidI understand that last time Art talked to Nolan he was about to go on a rampage and even somewhat threatened him then under a "guise" (Or more like a desperate cling to normalcy) of humanity, and he has all the right to be scared shitless, but it also... doesnt really feel like him after all his talks about people and the fact that Nolan came to him in all earnest just to have some beers, with no murder to cover up or anything. Not even a threat as he was peacefully leaving. He apologized for his shit and still tried to be friendly. Art could have at least suspected that maybe Nolan is actually trying to be human. He may be "Betrayed" too but not as much as Debbie to completely disregard him. He already was pretty judgemental to him during the conversation, so i dont understand why wouldnt they play it straight where he's actually enjoying remembering the old times, but still scolds Nolan for being a murderous fuckhead instead of the retarded gasp at the end. Just a little bit of moral ambiquity and nuance instead of "Haha it was all just a farce so he'd not kill me phew"Also did Nolan just fucking steal those beers or what? I doubt he had any money and the cashier would not recognize the biggest bad man on earth
>>153050856yeah no shit, he crushed a guys head for shits and giggles and went on live TV turning thousands of people into tomato puree , fuck did you think would happen
>>153050856I feel like 20 years of saving billions of lives should cancel out 1 bad day killing 100k people at least a bit. Especially considering he only purposefully killed like a thousand at most
>>153052869>>153053067This is a side effect of the Amazon show amped up things for shock value sake.
>>153050856as i view it, nolan served as an early kind of superhero in the invincible comics which BY-ITSELF was not particularly useful, HOWEVER that is based on the condition that his superlative ability as OMNI-MAN had no yielded something of corresponding value.Be it whatsoever it might be, it is extremely likely that NOLANS coming to earth brought way more benefits to earthlings than otherwise, for 1, he brought together the guardians of the globe that handled global safety for 2 he served as an inspirational figures to all early supes, this is to say, while nolan was 'good' he led all supes into becoming good as well, and even after he went rogue, he still ended up proving earth as a valuable stress-test towards super-powered individuals. For 3, he sired mark with his wife creating by far the best possible result within the invincible multiverse(galactic peace).By so i mean to say, were decades of omni-man level peacekeeping, guidance and inspirational posture really thawed by killing the guardians of the globe(superhero monopoly organization) causing some limited property damage to earthlings and indirectly killing hundreds of them?i think not, nolan protected billions, killing a few hundred unlucky passerby or dishing several hundred million in property damage CANNOT COMPARE to what mark did with dinosaur man!!!
>>153053480Holy shitI completely forgot about the dino after this episode.Yeah, Mark's definitely getting a bit more empathy towards Nolan once this arc kicks in. I wonder if they can somehow shoehorn Debbie getting back with Nolan here too, as unlikely as that sounds with all the rewrites dooming.
They fucked with the adaptation too much already.
They havent fucked with the adaptation enough yet
