the thing about this is Dana was way too liberal in her approach. All she had to do was make Luz an actual Tomboy instead of a quirk chungus larping as a tomboy and the show would not have been cancelled. the reason is because of her power dynamic with Amity who is a catgirl. Bratty cat and chungus puppy can't work together or it becomes unrealistic or in worst case scenario - abuse. That's what happened with the She-fandom. Adora and Caatra are two cats so double negative does not make it positive and math nerds have to change their ideology. One of them has to be higher level or more responsible pet owner.
