Mr. Nigel Ratburn.He’s a very duplicitous man underneath a polished exterior. He’s a good teacher, sure, but he intentionally gives his students terrible advice and leads them down dark paths. He turns a blind eye to when Binky bullies his other students, he edits Arthur’s schoolwork just so he can Dock his grade slightly, he never lets Alan answer the question when he raises his hand, he cooks meth with Buster, he gaslights Francine and makes her think her answers are wrong when they’re correct, he keeps killing the class pet and pins the blame on Muffy, Molly, Rattles, Binky, and Slink at different intervals.

Sette. In the comic itself, she's revealed to be able to talk with and have an affinity for these spirits that are the embodiment of bad memories. Pain, suffering, anger, despair. They spend the entire story influencing a humanoid lizard who can also hear them because a mad wizard grafted them onto his soul. The lizard befriends and uses a young woman who is nearly as bitter and tortured as he is. They work together along with the spirits to help end their suffering, killing many people in the process. Ultimately, Sette and her friends work together to stop them. In this version of the story, Sette instead replaces that young woman. Uniquely susceptible to the spirits, given her ability to interact with them and her traumatic upbringing, she abandons her group of friends and starts to travel with the lizard. At first, intending only to help save the spirits as they've requested of her. Eventually, fighting against her old crew to bring about the end.Or you know, just tell the canon story of her predecessor instead. Her story is much more fucked up than anything I could think up here.
