who was in the wrong here?
>>153069756Meg for trying to rape that guy.
>A 3 hour movie just to say wow the mob is bad
>>153069756Peter didn't really have an argument aside from just saying he couldn't be bothered to sit through it
I tried watching the Godfather and I tuned out. I was cool with Marlon Brando but the mob politics are so boring. Hard to believe there's 3 of them.
>>153069787The "it insists upon itself" line was apparently taken from some jackass professor MacFarlane had in college. Basically he was using Peter to make fun of the guy, because Peter is also the kind of retard who would think that line wasn't stupid on the face of it.
>>153069938Kind of ironic that people now actually use that line as a legit form of criticism without realizing where it's from or the context of it.
>>153069756What have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully?
Peter was retarded but everyone else was just having a soi meltdown because he had an unpopular opinion.
>>153069756I always hated this scene. It insists on itself
>>153069984Tragic, more like. Anyone who uses it had better be joking, or they're a fucking buffoon.>>153070006He explained his unpopular opinion in the most idiotic and meaningless fashion.
>>153069756Shit was 2 hours and half
I insist that you desist upon yourself.
>>153069756never understood the appeal of gangster movies. or cowboy movies, for that matter. Just dull as dirt. Not a single robot or triceratops or, god forbid, robot triceratops EVER shows up. Just regular boring guys with funny dialects, killing each other with really boring guns. no automatics, no lasers, fuckin nothing. at least pirates have SWORDS yknow? and like, wenches. Gangsters just have molls, and cowboys just have floozies in stupid shoulder-to-knee frilly underwear. Boooring.
>>153069756what is your 'Peter and the Godfather'for me its Forrest Gump
>>153069756Lois and the rest. Peter may have had a dumb reason to not like the movie but it's his reason so whatever. He even admits the movie is good, just that he doesn't like it. His family just refused to accept he didn't like the movie and were being fags about it. It's impressive that they manged to out fag the guy saying "it insists upon itself".
>>153071170any A24 "horror" movie
>>153071170Funnily enough, film-wise the one that actually inspired this bit with Seth's professor, The Sound of Music. Outside of films Chainsaw Man and Cyberpunk:Edgerunners. Didn't necessarily hate either of them but it felt to me like a lot of the acclaim they were getting (especially the latter) was just being peoples first tragedy.
